MANCHESTER: An earlier crash on CR 530 in Whiting turned one vehicle on its’ side. The motor vehicle accident occurred during the 13:00 hour on CR 530 @ Fox. Fire department responded for the overturned vehicle, with possibly two occupants entrapped. During assessment- the fire department was attempting to cut a roof off of one vehicle. A second vehicle was involved, but isn’t pictured. EMS responded to evaluate the occupants once removed from vehicle.
While we don’t have specifics regarding this collision, it looks like the vehicle pictured is/was a classic or vintage automobile. The construction of that old car likely affected the outcome of this crash. Classic vehicles have far less safety features than their modern counterparts.
Stay Alert- Stay Alive
NO NO NO
Brett Solano literally what I said looking at the pic… damn shame.

Hope everyone is okay
Must have been doing at least 25 mph in that thing….people need to just slow the hell down!
Doug Darcy sad how people just have no respect, just seeing it means stay back ????
Ouch! Poor car
????
????????????????
That thing is built like a tank!..if that was a POS built today pieces we’ve been all over that road
Chris Sparany Cars today are designed to crumble to take all the impact.
Quite the opposite. True the sheet metal is a heavier gauge but nothing engineered for crash. The frame is very small and the car was designed to flex… nothing to absorb impact. Adding to this, the gas tank is the cowl area above your legs, the glass was not safety, top body pillars are wood and the top is a few wood slats with fabric stretched over. The floorboards are just that, wood that pop or push up and the pedals are mounted to the transmission so if the engine is pushed back so are your legs. Most older cars also have a solid steering tube to the gearbox, in a crash the column pushes into your chest and the bar can impale you.
But we still love them… this looks like a 30-31 coupe judging from the floor pan. Stock they can (or should) drive at 60 and the brakes, if adjusted and correctly restored, will stop adequately. And stock your using hand signals, at the mercy of other motorists. I drove my ‘29 truck almost 45k in 5 years, the worst is other drivers, you practice defense driving all the time.
Jon Jones what does that have to do with this crash? It wasn’t smashed! New cars still flip as this one did!
James Mitchell I was just making a point that today’s cars are different
????????????
Robert E. Richards
The road is filled with idiot drivers
Stephen O’Connor same can be said for the comments section.

Hope they are ok and the car ,
Praying everyone is ok
NOOO ???????????????? hope they are ok but the vehicle ????
Gezz another accident
Ocean County Scanner is busy today ,thank for all the news and info ????????
Poor car
Prayers for the people. Hope the car can be salvaged. Cars back then might not have had safety features but they were built sturdy. Todays car are pieces of shit in plain language. There is nothing good to say about cars today. That’s why they are flipping over so fast.
Main problem here Michael no seat belts.Person gets tossed just enough for a sever/fatal head injury and I certainly hope that’s not the case here.
That much is true. I pray they are not seriously injured. But believe you me, I know all about seatbelts. Unfortunately for me the seatbelts broke because of the impact of my car.
I Seen That Car Earlier Too!
Brandon Rivera Torres What car was it?I’m curious.
Dorothy Candy its a 1930 – 1931 model A Ford deluxe roadster. It used to look like this. I hope all in it are ok
……..sigh.
a travesty
I just saw this guy leaving harry wright lake that’s crazy
Looks like a 1930 Model A truck ????!
Built Ford Tough!!!
Ritner Morgan roadster with a trunk rack
So sad
Been stuck behind this truck doing 20mph on 37…wouldn’t be surprised if someone clipped him trying to pass
I don’t know anything about this accident,I’m looking at this picture just like you but I can tell you this.I have a couple of classic cars I drive and I drive them(as I know other classic car drivers do) with more caution than of my other cars. You just continually watch for the other guy. It’s like your driving a motorcycle, you have to continually watch everything, everyone. For the most part I do the speed limit, sometimes a little slower, sometimes a tad faster. But the times when I do the speed limit someone is right on my ass. This is a ’20/30’s car and they are slow,I doubt he was the cause.Someone probably came flying up to him or something like that,I don’t know AGAIN,just a guess,JMO.I’ll tell you this though,I’d bet the farm on it not being his fault.I hope every ones were very minor.
AND remember something everyone.Yep,these things can be a pain in the butt being stuck behind one but he has much right on that road as anyone.Car has plates and he’s paying taxes and fees to drive that car.
Robert E. Richards most people are on the road because they have things to do. If you are using the road for pleasure and do not want to drive the speed limit you really should be pulling over to let people pass.
Robert E. Richards 30-31 model A will do 55mph. I own several. I hope all inside are ok
Not his problem people have things to do,they should plan for it ahead of time. Why should he pull over all day for them?Like I said,he paid fees and taxes and has every right to enjoy his car on whatever road he chooses Tammy.

Sending Prayers ????????
Kathy not you guys right?!
That’s just not right
probably some shitty American engineering at fault there
God forbid you do the speed limit on 530, they’ll pay three cars at a time.
