TOMS RIVER: Earlier this week, OCSN shared the story about Adams Avenue- and the frequent crashes. So far we have seen TR DPW out trimming the tree on Adams approaching Coolidge, westbound. Now as of today we have seen the stop sign poles get reflective red strips installed at Coolidge @ Garfield. Let’s hope the improvements keep coming!

See the real problem is the old stop sign shown in this picture meant stop at one time, now it really means slow down a tad bit and then step on the gas pedal hard and pray nothing is coming.

I’m glad you’re ok. Stay safe and sorry you had to go through that.
more police going around and hanging out at these intersections and giving out running stop sign tickets will work real good.
It needs a blinking stop sign. If you don’t live in the area you’re highly likely to a failure to stop. Specially during the summer when the bennies blast right through.
That still won’t stop people! ????
