SEASIDE PARK: Authorities are on scene in the area of South Bayview @ Fifth in reference to a DOA investigation. We have reports of a deceased body seen floating in the water. Police, EMS, and fire are assisting in recovering the body, and a formal investigation will be launched. SPPD has requested the Ocean County Sheriff & Prosecutors Office to assist with the incident.
We have no further details about the deceased, or anything else regarding this incident. This is a developing story, and we will update when new information is obtained.

So sad. I remember when I was a kid, it was winter & a dog ran out on the ice one night while owner was walking him. The owner ran out to get him & broke through. He was found the same way. In this case though, bay is not frozen.
