BRICK/ LAKEWOOD: Monday night saw another serious crash on NJ 70 near the intersection with Shorrock. This was closer to Bassett Furniture in the retail corridor near Target on 70. Most of Route 70 within Ocean County is awful- but this stretch through the shopping district is “say your prayers” level dangerous. Multiple vehicles were involved, which brought out multiple injuries. At one point all Brick ambulances were tied up on other calls, and mutual aid was requested from Squad 35 in Point Pleasant. Three total rigs were needed at one point for this major crash. Unknown nature of crash, and unknown extent of any injuries.
