BASS RIVER: Unspecified NJ & Ocean County law enforcement agencies are out in the area of Bass River Township & Bass River State Park searching today. They are leading the search for Little Egg Harbor suspect Don Rutter wanted in connection with a shooting in Little Egg Harbor. On January 6, 2021 Donald Rutter allegedly shot Thomas Jarvis in his abdomen- at Jarvis Marine. Rutter fled the scene after the shooting on the 6th, and hasn’t been captured yet. A massive manhunt took place that evening by joint agencies- but to no avail. The suspect Donald Rutter should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Don Rutter today, or any day- please call NJSP or Detective Dennis Mitchell at (609) 296-3131.
