OCPO: Did your child receive any gifts this holiday that connect to the internet? The internet allows for easy and anonymous access to children by strangers who hide behind a computer screen. Take a minute and familiarize yourself with these apps and their dangers. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer reminds you to be vigilant and always monitor your child’s online presence.

Thank you for posting. My oldest has his own tablet and his father set up a fb account for him so he can chat w me when he’s not home.
Kids always use DuckDuckGo for your Internet browser. Fight the man!
The calculator that comes with every phone? No. Calling bs
Scott A Barnes no NOT that calculator. The App they are talking about here “disguises” it’s self to look like the one that comes on the phone.
Kathleen Carlin ohhhhhhh. Well shit
I agree safeguard your kids, but DuckDuckGo is not “targeting children”, that part is not true.

Yeah, we didn’t make this list- but Duck Duck Go seemed weird to be included?
Ocean County Scanner News strange indeed
As a 17 year old i can confirm that houseparty is an app that we use to group video chat our friends if someone in the friend group has a galaxy, otherwise we use Facetime (especially during these times). Whisper, no kid over 6th grade touches it. And the Calculator+ app, a lot of kids do use, its really the only harmless app on this post. DuckDuckGo is useless because you can just go to a private browser on Safari, if you wanna be a hovering parent check that. Lol
More new ones geez

Thank you
Kev Maher time to check the girls phones
The anonymous ones are concerning. I’d def check for those on my child’s phone.
The others don’t seem much different than having a diary or passing notes to your friends ????????♀️ just my opinion
