TOMS RIVER: Toms River Police have issued a statement acknowledging the incident this evening. A shooting did occur on or near the 1900 Block of Red Cedar Street in Toms River. They note the suspect is emotionally disturbed, and only fired one shot into the air. No mention of weapon type, nor possible motives. There were no reported injuries m, thankfully- and the suspect is being evaluated at CMC.
TRPD: On the evening on January 3rd police were dispatched to Red Cedar Street in Toms River for reports of gunfire. Preliminary investigation revealed an emotionally disturbed resident fired one shot into the air and fled the scene. He was subsequently located in taken to Community Medical Center for further evaluation.
There were no injuries. There is nothing further at this time.

Andrea Magliocco-Reeves always. For those that do, I simply say ok, go to any firearm store and ask to see a firearm, but what’s the first thing they ask for… “can I see your firearms ID” “No ID = No Touch” Last I checked NJ permit says firearm ID not assault weapon ID.

Humans in general when either down on their luck or depressed will seek their vision one way or another. Unfortunately (may they rest in peace) gsp the other day.
