That is so sad!
happy new year
Karl Bogus this is so sad as a home for the mentally ill and so sad during this time of year for them as see no hope.
Cherie McKee stop being so forgiving people know exactly what they do…
Karl Bogus “overdose” is the wrong headline. “Mental health emergency” is appropriate. The location and substance used are telling. Cherie McKee is correct. It’s sad.
They need to shut that place down.
Ani Ta benadryl is an allegery med you get what ever the frequency is perscribed by a doctor so day one you get 1 day 2 not 70
Beth Lane honestly I don’t understand you or Karl as a home for seniors with mental health disabilities so they have a home with assisted living amenities so not sure why one would say to close it down and have a nice day
Karl Bogus right. So 70 is a cry for help. I’m grateful you don’t know about the Lexington. You can smell the horrors standing outside the front door
Cherie McKee have you seen pics or heard anything about this place?? These people are not taken care of properly. It’s bad for their mental health!!
Ani Ta, so very sad.
Karl Bogus seriously? Who watching over these people and monitoring meds
Lisa Chakeres I am not advocating that it is the best place for the senior population with mental health concerns yet this is the problem with society as people with mental health concerns are put on the back burner yet having a roof over their head instead of living in the woods is better. Hopefully with this incident that it will be looked into as obviously someone was not doing their job to ensure people were taking their meds and not storing them for an intentional suicide.
if a mentally ill person got a hold of 70 benadryl and was able to down them then somone at the facility is in trouble a place like this has protocalls for medication something is wrong
Cherie McKee unfortunately this goes on and on. I get patients admitted to me from here and it’s just horror story after horror story and nothing is ever done about it.. they need to be placed in the right settings!
Karl Bogus obviously that should be the headline as someone was not doing their job and allowed someone to stack medicine and not follow protocols to have this person take so many to probably try to end their life
Karl Bogus it’s not a locked facility. People have their own money etc and Benadryl is an over the counter medication. It’s not like a locked down secure facility. It’s categorized as an RHCF which is a residential health care facility where they need to provide food, lodging and meds if prescribed
Karl Bogus benadryl is bought over the counter
Karl Bogus yup your exactly right!! There are nurses there!
Praying for this person. Don’t judge just pray they get the help they need ????????????
Ani Ta
It breaks our heart every call we hear for this dump. Somehow NJ has turned a blind eye to boarding home neglect.
Karl Bogus you can buy it over the counter ????
Cherie McKee I’M FROM LAKEWOOD. THE PLACE IS A PIT. THOSE PEOPLE ARE ZOMBIES BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL DRUGGED UP. IT’S RUN BY THE ONES THAT EVERYONE HATES ABOUT LAKEWOOD. IT’S GOTTEN WORSE OVER THE YEARS. THEY HAD A FIRE THERE ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO THAT THANKFULLY IT WASN’T MUCH. THAT AND DOVER WOODS SHOULD BOTH BE SHUT DOWN
Danielle Mount THEIR SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING IT THERE.
Cherie McKee Benadryl is sold over the counter. They roam around town all day.
Danielle Mount THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING IT THERE
Karl Bogus YOU CAN BUY BENADRYL OVER THE COUNTER
Teca Jaime
Lisa Chakeres omg ????
Very sad that this place still operates. Hopefully this patient gets the help they need. The state needs to step in with Lexington enough is enough
is it a democrat run building? because if it is godd help those people
Karl Bogus how did you turn this into politics ?
Cynthia Marie wasn’t doing that but did ya see what happen to democratic run states sounds like this is run by the same the way everyone is talking
Karl Bogus you absolutely turned this post political. Have some respect for others.
Karl Bogus you did, though. So, why gaslight? Bizarre behavior(s) on your part. God help YOU instead.
Praying for this person ????????
Prayers for the person.
My understanding is that the owner takes the resident’s SSI checks and gives each resident a small amount per month to purchase toiletries. This place is horrid and the owner is making a fortune off of the homeless mentally ill.
Dianne Grace that they do and their is another place called Dover woods in tr on 9 does same too these people its so sad how they get treated
Dianne Grace common practice for these facilities! Look who owns all of them in Lakewood!!!
Jean Cottrell I live right around the corner from this place and I’ve actually gone in there and questions of them acting like I wanted to put somebody in there it is a dump I had residents that live there say that they have had things stolen and they are constantly miss treated
Danielle Fuchs very true And yes I recognize your name from Mutual friends/Family
Dianne Grace I have heard the same, when I worked for lawyers in Lakewood. It’s horrible………
Debra Sterling, it’s very disturbing.
So Why doesn’t somebody do something about it and call the attorney general of New Jersey? If Enough people call or sign a petition against these places something shall be done -please put your voices to work to advocate for these helpless victims. ????
????
This place sounds “safe”
Danielle Fuchs its sad that place is a mental health facility and the staff never keep track of there clients. It’s just like the Dover used to be.
Katie Bahlouli that had to be one good nap
Natasha Morano wow!!
Annette Crawford Hall
How did patient get access to that many? Where is the supervision?
Place is a toilet and it’s in the armpit of NJ…
