Toms River: After a very busy night, we were able to finally select winners of the Christmas TV Contest. We began with one sole 19” TV to giveaway, and the contest expanded to 15 total televisions. At this time all Smart TV, tool set, and cordless drill winners have been selected and notified via email. If you entered to win- please check your email for instructions.

Fifteen televisions were donated to OCSN for the contest, but we only have possession of 13. Due to shipping delays this season, 2 sets are somewhere in the world of logistics. Certain entrants were offered the delayed prizes, and their instructions were included in the email. OCSN will meet with all winners tomorrow at 14:30 (2:30 PM) in the parking lot of QuickChek. We will use the QuickChek in Toms River on NJ 37 @ Fischer. Please wear a mask and park/ congregate on the north (Adams) side of the store.

All of the staff here at Ocean County Scanner News are still shocked at how this contest turned out. It began as a single 19” TV to give away to one lucky winner who was down on their luck. After hearing all the really sad stories from some of our fans- we wanted to help more. Thankfully OCSN was able to secure donation monies to purchase 15 Smart TVs in all- or have people donate the TV’s. A massively huge Thank You to each person who donated or contributed somehow to make this contest a success.

A second massive thank you goes out to all the people who entered, even if you didn’t win. In an ideal world we would love to give a 55” TV to everyone- but we’re broke. Each story seemed to be sadder than the last- and you all deserve more than a TV for what you’ve been through. Hopefully this prize will make for a Merry Christmas this year- and a better start to 2021. The true charitable spirit of each of the anonymous donors makes us realize there really is some magic in the season.

Thank You everyone! We will see some of you tomorrow! Everyone else- Thanks for supporting Ocean County Scanner News!
