The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for our region this coming Wednesday. A winter storm is expected to impact the entire state with significant snow accumulation likely in Northern New Jersey. The storm could bring accumulating snowfall to Brick Township and Northern Ocean County. The amount of snow will depend on the track of the storm.

The Township is making the necessary preparations for a snow event. Residents are asked to assist by removing all cars and movable objects such as portable basketball nets from the streets prior to the storm. This assists the snow removal efforts and enables plows to better clear streets.

Public Works collections will not be impacted by this storm and will go on as scheduled.

In addition to the snow, wind gusts of up to 40mph are expected and coastal flooding is possible. As with all expected coastal flooding events, residents in flood-prone neighborhoods may relocate their vehicles to Angela Hibbard Park, Edmund Hibbard Park, Windward Beach or Brick Beach III for the duration of the storm.
