NJTP: Patron is reporting there is a hawk perched at one of the NJ Turnpike toll plazas, at lane 3 apparently. Dispatch assigned the call to a Trooper, but joked about being unsure of what police services the hawk needs. Shortly after dispatch the call was cleared as everyone agreed the bird would likely have flown away by the time they arrived. No services needed.
We post humorous calls like this as we hear them in passing. OCSN tries to focus on Ocean or Monmouth Counties, but we monitor many different agencies on the scanner. This call came over NJTP Central during the 12:00 hour.
The hawk will see if you try to not pay your toll and follow you.
I would hate to be a dispatcher and field some of these crazy calls. Gotta wonder what the caller thought they should do about a bird on a roof. Was the Trooper supposed to talk it down? LOL!
NJ is so full of snitches thanks to Murphy that even hawks have the cops called on them. ????
