Community Medical Center is on full divert until 17:15 this evening. (5:15 PM)

Any idea why on full divert?
Stephanie Brander don’t get hurt today
Natasha Morano lets just wrap her from head to toe in bubble wrap ????????????
Natasha Morano MONMOUTH MEDICAL CENTER SOUTHERN CAMPUS THEIR OTHER LOCAL HOSPITAL.
Another one so sad
Hospitals go on full divert all the time. This isn’t a new 2020 thing.
Lynette Marie other people made the same comment last week about Brick. Turned out it was due to Covid cases.
Pretty rare to see this one go on divert.
Dawn Taylor. Brick infected over a 100 employees and patients
Jackie Thomas this hospital is on divert all the time. Not rare at all especially summer months and flu season
Tara Nicole no. You must be confusing it with another local hospital.
Jackie Thomas no my mother is a nurse there and I was an EMt for years community goes on divert all the time
Tara Nicole lol where does she work ? It isn’t on divert all the time. It’s quite rare actually. The Summer was power outages . This is patient volume .
Jackie Thomas ok I’m glad you believe they don’t. It’s not a rare occurrence promise
And what does where does she work have anything to do with this. Like I said she’s a nurse in community
Jackie Thomas do you work there?
Tara Nicole maybe ????
Jackie Thomas and of course it’s patient volume that’s what normally causes a divert it’s not unusual it happens nothing to freak over just stating it’s not unusual in that hospital
Lisa Martin cmc is always on divert I used to work at kimball and we would get all the patients from there
Lynette Marie thank you . You are 100%correct!
Katrina Daddato but apparently it doesn’t it’s a rare thing to see this hospital on divert ????????
Tara Nicole ok!!
Katrina Daddato oh I know it does but comments above state different lmao
Apparently we have no idea
Katrina Daddato. Thats sad
Jackie Thomas actually, community goes been on divert several times a year. So do other hospitals.
You’re right a divert does not mean Covid our break the Er is on divert 9/10 times. We have crazy over population and 3 area codes go there I’ve been there with lines out the door flu season and literally collapsed in the bathroom due to beds full and woke up in a hallway ????????????. It’s not over ran cnn videos of wuhan I’m almost positive without any knowledge of why ????????????. Divert as in Don’t bring us every pes pt in the next 2 hours type divert is normal for Soch wich is a shit hospital and cmc
Meghan Turner Wuhan? Lord I hope you don’t work in HC.
Ashley DeRose I used too????????????
Meghan Turner keyword here is USED to. It’s called covid-19. Don’t be ignorant.
Prob all full of covid patience of their own!! Like brick Hospital. Notice they dont say why!!!
Angie Murphy around 100 right now. 4 on ventilators as of Monday
Angie Murphy They don’t say why anytime
Angie Murphy of our own? Are you referring to our employees who are sick with Covid?
Angie Murphy my brother was just admitted w from covid complications last night. Praying for him and the staff. This isn’t easy for any of us
Ami Lewalski-Cuccinello how is Michael doing? Is your mom at home?
Hey Diane. Small world. Mike said he’s feeling better now that he’s on oxygen . From what I can tell my mom isn’t as sick. So that’s good
Ami Lewalski-Cuccinello I have a friend who’s 27 yr old daughter fell asleep with covid in her own bed and DIDNT WAKE UP. I get it
That’s the best thing that could happen to anyone that gets ill. That hospital sucks and now is helping those by sending them to better hospitals
Lucian John WHAT HERE HOSPITALS? THERE ARE NO GOOD HOSPITALS AROUND HERE. OCEAN OR MONMOUTH COUNTER
Lucian John Hackensack Meridian in Brick is an excellent hospital. Had my hip replacement surgery done there last February right before Covid struck. Unfortunately they were on bypass a few weeks ago because 100 employees tested positive for COVID!
Lucian John if that’s bad, try the one in Lakewood ???????????? horror story.
Brick hospital is terrible to
These hospitals suck until you really need them….
Ed Tamburr Yep exactly. These poor essential workers are under constant scrutiny because they didn’t jump thru enough hoops one day, or the nurse didn’t answer the whiner button fast enough. Sorry the doctor left his cape home today. ????I personally think they do an amazing job.
????????
I wouldn’t go there
THE STAFF CHANGES OVER TIME , 12 YEARS AGO , THE NEGLECT AND MISDIAGNOSES CAUSED MY FATHERS DEATH OF AN EASILY MANAGABLE DISEASE…..THIS YEAR I WENT THERE HAVING BACK TO BACK STROKES AND THE CARE WAS TOP NOTCH ,COULDNT HAVE BEEN BETTER AND I AM FINE TODAY.
Ed Malone glad you are ok!
Ed Malone I agree! Years ago community was an absolute joke! I had my daughter there a few times and the care my little girl got was amazing!!! The nurses even brought her in a gift (a tea set) on her 2nd night at the hospital.
Ed Malone I’m glad you had a good experience. I have had a few very negative that led to hospitalization of the ones I love in different hospitals. Then in may I had to put my mom in there because of emergency and seriously I feel it was the worst mistake I ever made. I understand we are in a pandemic but they did not comply with there own covid 19 policy’s on top of other things. My mother was 59 late stage Alzheimer’s obviously not able to speak fir herself yet it was impossible to get video chats never mind the visits she was actually entitled too again by there stated policy. Well long story short not seeing my mother in any way I was unaware she was sick with an infection and ultimately I believe that weakened her and led to her death two weeks later. The way I was treated is another story. The day after Mother’s Day and with good reason I fought for her rights and was granted a five minute visit. I found my mother filthy, sick and naturally I demanded blood work and a bath ASAP! Next morning I’m called she did have an infection and they already seen a difference in her. However that same day the hospital administrator himself called me and told me I’m not welcome to come back because of some crazy accusation. I had to call the police and all myself because it was serious and my situation caring for my mom could have been compromised. I arranged for transport to a nursing home that day and what do you know I got an apology call. I’d literally never go to them willing if I wanted to actually live
Ed Malone cause my late husband’s death in 2014
Linda Saar Rice Definitely contributed to my moms death in 2006. Terrible place.
Stacie Gentile what’s the tea???
Tara Mercer Jimenez I just love all of these comments of people assuming things and pretending like they know everything about a hospital they don’t work at.. ????????♀️????????♀️
Stacie Gentile same girl ???? I’m sitting here sipping my coffee reading these comments like what world do these people live in..?
Crystal Ann Bennett I want to reply to every single comment here but I have a life.
Stacie Gentile I feel the same as you… I did reply to a few though because I’m off tonight!
Stacie Gentile right
Agreed. I am with meridian, not worth replying to anyone about hospital life they know nothing about. Thank you two for whatever you do!
Colleen Sharon we are all in this together, be safe and well ❤️
This old news. CMC was always the first to go on divert.
I can’t say enough about Community! Pete has been there several times in the last two years. In fact, he was there this week for several days and was released today. The nurses called me several times a day with updates. He has been in other hospitals but none compare to Community Medical Center!!
They’re coming to Brick?
Elizabeth Gayder hmmmm
Cmc on divert isn’t anything new
Scott Racz
Community gets bad press but th doctors there saved my life. I came in with an abdominal abscess, septicemia and a temperature of 104 (I think… memory is fuzzy) I spent 10 days there
Daria Grippo they saved my husbands life 2 times……heart attack in 2011 and his defibrillator went off in August …… everyone was great… I can’t complain
Daria Grippo their one doctor tried to kill me so I stay away lol
Pam Perez I only hear bad things about that hospital
Pamela Milne McNeill same . Tho I will say , their maternity part is amazing . Staff, rooms and care .
Pam Perez when I first got sick I just went to the regular floors I don’t know which one it was but after I had my surgery I do have to say my recovery was in the Maternity Ward and it was a really nice
This is the best thing that could happen for anyone that would have been going there. Community is the kind of place u go in with a hangnail and come out with a lobotomy
This horrible for our communities.
It’s scary!
Well at least there isn’t any flu cases this year.
Sheila Ann not 1…how do ya like that!
Retired RN here. Worked in three NJ hospitals and one outside of Baltimore. Divert is not uncommon
Community Hospital cannot say enough good about this hospital. Was there 20 days.everyone was great. I would recommend to all and everyone.
Cheryl Gamache you were lucky
Michelle Tjakkes Isphording oh stop. Community has improved drastically over the last 4-5 years. The ratings are much higher and the nurses and techs who work there have a lot of compassion and love their jobs.
Mom was there twice & everyone was great!
Courtney Valentine their ER department is awful! Tried to kill my parents several times and rude as hell. I am not saying every nurse and doctor there are bad but if that is your job that you chose (specifically to help people) then you should have some compassion for people.
Michelle Tjakkes Isphording “tried” to kill your parents? Isn’t that a little extreme to say they tried to kill your parents? I’m sorry if you had a bad experience and yes, no matter where you go, there will always be one or two bad apples. But the majority of those who work there do have compassion and care a lot.
Courtney Valentine ok so I’m guessing you work there
Courtney Valentine i don’t work there. I had a major brain stem stroke over a year ago and the ER staff there saved my life
Well a divert from there is a good thing
Staff to patient ratio maybe…if staff is quarantining may be staffing issues
Prayers to all
Nothing new there
Lol.
This doesn’t seem true?
https://hippocrates.nj.gov/hospdivert/viewCurrentHospitalStatusEMSDivert.action
Saving countless lives by closing the door.
Kenneth Baker well, i mean, if they’re at capacity with rooms/staffing, there’s really not much else they can do?
I was referring to the quality of care.
Oh wow! ????
Love ❤️ to all the staff n medical professionals reading the comments of some of ocean county’s most ignorant people. U are appreciated
Chad W thank you!
Chad W thank you! ❤️
Denise San Fillippo
But why??? Anyone know
Joleen M Stramat-Dente most likely overflow. Can’t keep taking in patients if your beds are full.
Joleen M Stramat-Dente usually a divert is called due to admitted patients sitting in the emergency department. because the hospital is at capacity. When this happens then the emergency dept. backs up and there is no place for the patients to go when true medical emergencies come up. It happens more often then people realize.
Sheryl Drumm ty
Sheryl Drumm Spot-on. I worked full-time at a hospital for close to 2 years and have been part-time now for close to 13 years and it would happen sometimes 3-4X per month during the winter months.
Sheryl Drumm this is true my best friend who is elderly and a vet is in the e.r. Because of full capacity and he is not covid he was in a bad accident !…the staff has been very kind to me while waiting for him to get into a room!…p,ease be kind with your words the staff is working their best!
There are currently no hospitals on divert in the entire state. Hospitals go on divert for a VARIETY of reasons all the time!
Bobby Trainor Brick is on Divert too bc of Covid.
Joanne Jodi Fridson Cohen not as of now
Bobby Trainor Really. I spoke to a nurse there yesterday that said they were on divert?
Bobby Trainor cmc is still on divert, I just heard it on the scanner
Ashley Vosseller
Bobby Trainor I replied to you last night, 20 minutes after I heard the divert
It looked the same last night
Hospitals go on divert people. Usually because of patient volume since everyone overloads ERs, CMC included for stupid reasons creating delays for people who actually need to be in the ER. Stop speculating
divert is nothing new
Coming from a burnt out RN employed at CMC, it’s disappointing to read comments from the community that are so insulting and rude. The hospital is full. We have a ton of COVID patients. We are working ourselves to death. Have some respect.
Brianna Smith I appreciate you and your fellow RNs. Ignore the disrespectful. Thank you for what you do!
Sandra Fraind Mavrookas thank you. I appreciate it.
Brianna Smith, thank you for your hard work. I’ve never had a bad experience there.
Brianna Smith THANK YOU! There are so many ignorant people who have no idea what you’re dealing with!
Brianna Smith please know how much you and all your colleagues are appreciated and our in our prayers every night!!! Stay strong, healthy and safe!!!
Brianna Smith I appreciate you also! Thank for all u do for us ALL! ????
Brianna Smith THANK You!!!
I appreciate all of your kind words. Thank you!
Brianna Smith thank you???????? Stay safe
Brianna Smith much love & respect to you all ❤
Brianna Smith thank you for what you do and please stay safe.
Brianna Smith thank you for all your hard work and many countless hours. Praying this pandemic slows down
Brianna Smith thank you all for what you do. Be safe n god bless
Brianna Smith it is? ????
Brianna Smith thank you for all that you are doing and sacrificing.
Brianna Smith thank you & all of you coworkers for ALL you do, your truly the hero’s to all of us ❤️
John Whitewood Monath it is.
Brianna Smith I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a nurse in a hospital this past year. I’m sorry people are ignorant and THANK YOU for all you do
You’re the heroes. Thank you and you are appreciated. I was interning at community as a student up until a few weeks ago because im pregnant and every nurse on every floor blew me away with how hard they work.
Mallory Rose Shtybel thank you. I’m also 6 months pregnant so it’s very scary right now but it’s my job and I just wish more people would be emotionally supportive with what we are going through every day. Best of luck with your baby!
Thanks Brianna and same to you. Rest when you can mama
Brianna Smith couldn’t agree more! So rude! Nobody understands what’s happening at cmc, I hope nobody has to go through what we’ve all dealt with so far.
Brianna Smith everyone is entitled to their opinion. No one said the nurses arent working hard. Personally Ive had a few bad experiences w the hospital and doctors there..one being misdiagnosis and subsequent death of a loved one. I talked to a lawyer at that time and he told me that CMC was the WORST in the state of NJ for lawsuits and patient complaints. That said..kudos to all the nurses who continue caring for their patients and do it well. Be safe!
Brianna Smith
Brianna Smith prayers for all of you and thank you
It should close permanently. Terrible hospital!!
Maureen Anne until you need it..
Ed Tamburr I wont ever go there.
Tracey Fredericks
Have bad feelings toward CMC
Having a pizza party for Sharon’s retirement, don’t beleive the hype 🙂
Thank you for all you & thec whole staff do.
This is for patient safety purposes. There’s only so much staff and nurses can only take a certain amount of patients before the the quality of care decreases. Be kind. The nurses and the staff are working their hardest and risking their lives to give the best care possible.
Thank you all for your hard work & dedication to our community, prayers for your safety!
I had my daughter there 8 years ago. The nursing staff was amazing!
Thanks to all those frontline workers going above and beyond and sacrificing their own time spent with family to take care of our families!
I DOUBT IT!
Short staffed.. Not Full!
Chris Calc it’s like sending your child to a school and having 50 kids in a classroom per teacher. How do you think their education will turn out?
Jill Miller it depends on the teacher
All the people that talk shit you go a head and keep doing it . My wife works there a a critical care nurse. She and her co workers bust there ass there . They have went threw a lot over the past 8 months . Seeing people’s family go threw very sad things . If community is so bad . Next time go to another hospital. Nothing but a bunch of key board gangsters.
Shawn Patrick Mckeown yessss… I never want to go to CMC again, but that is something I will have to overcome. My husband passed away in the ICU on 9/25/2020, not from COVID-19, but because of other health conditions. When he was there he received wonderful care from ALL of his nurses! They were attentive to him, to me when I was there. His last days were spent there and they all made sure that he was comfortable and cared for.
Shawn Patrick Mckeown I can’t speak for others, but my personal experience (and I have a lot being chronically ill for 27 years) is that many of the doctors in this area are not the greatest, and I think that is what gives CMC a bad rep. Any bad experience I’ve had at CMC has always been with a Dr. The nursing staff in any department I’ve had to deal with or floor I’ve stayed on has always been top notch. The nursing staff are the real MVP’s over there❤️❤️❤️
#Shocker
Ocean county just cannot handle the volume…need more hospitals to handle all the people
Laura McHale a lot of people are going to the hospital when they shouldn’t be and that’s the problem. There are young people jamming up beds over a fever. Unless you’re having trouble breathing, stay home and leave the rooms and manpower to the people that need it.
Laura McHale that hospital is understaffed and there is entire sections closed, you have no idea what you are talking about!
Ray Sag I know they are but all the hospitals (before covid) end up on “divert “ status very often.
Laura McHale that’s because they are understaffed, we don’t need more hospitals, the hospital administrators need to hire more but it’s always about profit!
So once again we don’t need more hospitals!
How does this work? I’m due to have a baby there in 5 or 6 weeks. I already live 40 minutes from the hospital but wanted to stay there because I had such a good expirience there with my 1st and that’s where my dr delivers.
Paula K Pickard you shouldn’t be affected
Paula K Pickard just the ER is on Divert, usually due to influx of patients all at one time & no avail bed space
Paula K Pickard this hospital is 3 minutes down the road from our house!
Mark Rios thank you ☺️????
where is the actual story? This is only a statement.
Again??’n
It’s astonishing to read all these comments they are so rude and bashing the staff and hospital. as one who works in the ER please have some respect. we are overrun with covid patients, we are tired and we are burnt out, but we are still doing our jobs for you, for the community – day in and day out.
It could also mean the hospital administration has understaffed the hospital, last time I was there, entire sections and floors closed!
Bullsh!t …they tryed the same thing back in march when my mother was in the hospital and the place was empty she was on a ventilator and there was only 2 other people in there in ICU..the hospital was empty !
Wow i feel like i’ve seen this a lot this past year. Is it bc of covid or does this happen every year?
Hospitals in that area go on divert several times a week. Every day when I went of shift we got a list of what hospitals were on divert for which kind of care. It is normal and has gone on since I was working medic there starting in 1989. Must be a slow news day.
its the closest hospital to holiday city Berkeley……..this happens alot
