Pastor Steve of Destiny’s Bridge thanks the Sisters of Mercy for their help and support of The organization. Destiny’s Bridge offers local programs for the poor like clothing, supplies, and food. Thank you to everyone involved for trying to take care of our homelessness here in Ocean County. Please read his story below, and he is seeking clothing donations for the homeless. Locations to drop off clothing, especially jackets, for local homeless people is at the bottom.
A special thanks to the Sisters of Mercy for their help, and support of Destiny’s Bridge, and its programs for the poor.
When it was time to expand the ministry to include a mobile soup kitchen to help feed the poor, who are especially feeling the adverse effects of a strained economy, they were there to help.
Their work sometimes goes unnoticed because of their meek and humble spirits, but because of their Mission of Mercy, untold numbers of hurting people are being cared for on a regular basis, in so many different ways.
I know their works are being recorded in the heavenly ledger, but I would just like to let them know they are appreciated, and that their help to the poor through this program is being noticed, and that it is a real blessing to so many in need. Thank you!

Please remember the ongoing need for coats, and warm clothing for the poor as the cold weather moves in. There are still many men, women, and children that are inadequately dressed for the winter ahead. If you know of anyone that wants to donate some clothing, please direct them to our drop off locations. Thank you!

Charles Cron In order to receive government assistance for food stamps, housing assistance, school loans or grants, or healthcare… proper identification and documentation is required! Illegals DO NOT get these things.
Stop……trying to sound intilectual, whats your source, look it up yourself. 21% of federal inmates….illegal, federal government says illegals cost $11e BILLION a year, localy your school tax educates them, your local tax goes to jail them, state and federal money provide health care. The list goes on gorever. You are taking food from your own vhildrens mouth for every penny spent on them. Have you followed the debate over illegals receiving in state tuition? Oh how about drivers licences for illegals…..educate yourself, you think they live on fairy dust ? You think millions invade because they eat dirt ? All those tent city people are homeless AMERICANS, illegals are well taken care of. They drop an anchor and the gold begins to flow.
Charles Cron In my own personal experience (I’m a college student) my friends without documentation do not receive federal student aid while on the other hand do. And if you are under age 24 you need to have a parent with a SS # as well. Student included

Guy Collesides Federal Aid no. I do not believe they receive much state aid if any.
My friends are going to school full time while also working 2+ jobs to pay for their education.

All I said is “while illegals are taken care of” said nothing negative about helping homeless AMERICANS. Without documentation……you mean ILLEGAL ? You mean those taking an education from an AMERICAN ? At very least federal, state, and local government use tax money to help offset costs of all education, each seat gets an amount donated to it, if an illegal, who is taking that spot from an american, sits in that seat is getting funding.

Guy Collesides I do. I used to live in a state where there is a large amount of DACA students actually. A simple search will also tell you they cannot receive federal aid. State and outside scholarships they can.

I couldn’t have said it better!! I have friends who are undocumented and some who came here the “right” way and none of them are eligible for government assistance. They have to work damn hard to get anything at all. There’s no point in explaining this to people who don’t want to hear or believe it.

Time for an event!!!!!!
HTH Worldwide is holding a fundraiser for a cold weather event. We have a supplier who can handle bulk orders at low cost for registered 501(c)(3) organizations such as HTH. We have helped Destiny’s Bridge a few times over the years and we would love to help again! Their main request has always been medical supplies, hygiene supplies, clothing and some other necessities such as blankets and jackets. HTH is accepting monetary donations to our PayPal to order these items in bulk supply. Every donation of course goes directly to this event
Currently HTH has $125.00 in donations, but this is not enough, we need to at least match this for a small, but doable order and as always, the more donations the more bulks supplies we can order and distribute.
