Toms River: Due to Governor Murphy’s executive order limiting outdoor gatherings, this year’s tree lighting will be virtual. Join The Downtown Toms River BID on their Facebook page @downtowntomsriver for the lighting on Friday, Dec. 4th @ 5pm. The tree will remain lit in the evenings for the rest of the holiday season. To avoid large crowds gathering at one time, we are encouraging everyone to visit throughout the month. We want the community to safely enjoy the holiday spirit in Downtown Toms River. So whether you’re enjoying the decorations, shopping, eating, or visiting with friends let’s remember what this time of year is all about and show our love and support for the community.
Please remember to social distance and when you can’t please wear a mask to keep everyone healthy this season.

Tracy Materiale i did the quarantine, but needed to get back to work. Life goes on, bills have to be paid, cant hide in homes forever…it doesnt stop any virus. And I personally could care less about going to a tree lighting, ive never been to one, that wasnt why i posted. It was about the absurdity of it. Im not a selfish person, i take precautions for others, and im sure you’re a good person as well, your hearts in right place, we just see things differently. Ive always questioned things in government, and always will, for good reason.
