Stafford: We are getting some solid reports of possible suspected tornado. This was reported a little after 21:00 tonight in the Cedar Run section of Stafford. The storm was responsible for taking down trees along Lamson Rd, Lally Ln, and Jennings Rd. No reported injuries, but there are trees on houses, fences and vehicles- as well as across roadways in the area. Dangerous storms were predicted throughout most of Ocean County tonight, with a lot of wind damage. No weather officials have confirmed an actual tornado occurring in the area.

Friends in the area reported a strong gust of wind that caused this and it seemed like a very very quick tornado.

Also Polly Pod rd I have a crushed truck in my driveway and and three sections of fence splintered by a tree. I’ll post some pics when the sun comes up.
Anthony Scillieri sorry to hear. I was hoping a tree would fall and crush my car so I wouldn’t have to make the payments anymore. I literally parked it under a huge tree in my yard. ????♂️
Anthony Scillieri just FYI I do tree removal ????
Paul Ippolitto yeah I would of rather it fell on my new car then my beater truck ????♂️
Anthony Scillieri ???????? oh that sucks insurance probably won’t give you what it’s worth to you.
Paul Ippolitto nope it’s crushed gonna take the rims and tires off and it’s going to the junk yard. I would of rather rolled it in the woods lol
Anthony Scillieri sorry to hear. I have a work truck that’s probably worth $2000 if I tried selling it but it’s worth way more to me and I would rather my new car get crushed. I feel your pain. Somethings just can’t be replaced by just money. Good luck man and sorry your dealing with it. P.s I can come drop a branch on your new car and claim it was the storm. I thought about it with my new car ????????

Live on Lally, it cut right through our yard. Sounded like a freight train as they say…go figure. Was very quick then pure calm right after. It took down a big swatch of trees next door, and I inherited my neighbors trampoline once I dislodge it from my pine tree. Luckily no one was hurt ???????????????? .
Also many kudos to Stafford Fire Department for immediate response to check for injuries and they cleared the roadways. Thank you very much.

Suddenly every wind storm is reported as a tornado around OC. Gotta do more research before reporting what homeowners claim on facebook. You’d know it if there was a tornado because the destruction would be more than trees down. Yet these claims keep coming. When your siding is gone or your roof peels back or even if you find your lawn furniture blocks away then you might want to claim a possible tornado. Trees down after major rain storms do not qualify.
