I dont hate addicts I am a 20 years sooner alcoholics and drug addict. I wanted a better life. I got rid of shit bag friends and made better decisions. These folks dont want a better life. They just want to be fucked up. If they wanted a better life they dont need government they need better people around them.

My mother over doses on pain meds when I was a child. She had been in a car accident had injuries was prescribed pain meds and had the bottle next to her bed. She woke up 3 times in the night was in pain and took her medication forgetting she had already taken her middle of the night dose.
A senior citizen can mix up meds and OD by accident. Do not judge ever OD call you see by YOUR STANDARDS AND HOW YOU LIVED IN ADDICTON

I’m actually grieving my dead friend today was very young commuted suicide was an addict and one of the most stunning gorgeous girls you’d ever see awesome personality and heart of gold. I’ve personally done cpr too many times to count I’ve seen so many people turn their lives around. You don’t know this person.

For one addict it could be prescribed medication taken exactly as perscibed that does it, for another it could be a child hood trauma that triggers it, for some it is an undiagnosed mental illness, for a scant few it can be peer pressure that triggers it.
People who have not seen addicton close up do not understand there is no magic choice made that caused it, not can there just be poof a magic choice to stop it, the root cause must be addressed.
They don’t realize that these hurtful comments get seen by the addict and they go “why bother everyone hates me” and instead of going to a meeting they go see the dealer.
They don’t realize that for the family struggling with an addict these comments make them less likely to reach out for support in how to deal with a loved one in addicton.
I am 34 yrs clean by the Grace of God a great police officer who was in the right place at the right time for me and support of a great friend who saw my value as a HUMAN being Catherine Mcloughlin not a day goes by I don’t thank God for you and Gary having been there for me and that I am great full that there was not social media to shame me in my recovery
