Yesterday Governor Murphy shared his Covid vaccine action plan for NJ. While we haven’t perused all 182 pages to see what he’s hiding- he did release this today via Facebook. Phil is hoping for a 70% Vaccination rate among NJ citizens, which is a little higher than I’d try for. Anyway, planning aside- NJ is going to need money to fund this vaccination program. Murphy is already indicating the federal government has no interest in giving money for this. We wonder how Phil is going to pay for his ambitious vaccine dreams?
His statement is below:
Federal funding for a vaccination program will be essential.
The federal administration has so far indicated no interest in providing further financial assistance.
If we do not receive any additional funds, achieving a 70% vaccination rate will take many years, if it happens at all.

The pot taxes are limited to the prevailing sales tax rate only. Municipalities may add an additional 2% tax maximum on sales. Unknown if that will provide enough revenue for 70% of New Jerseyans to get vaccinated.
