God damn Karen’s
It’s 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Wtf. I can’t even believe the police wasted time to go there.
Are you kidding me? Lol I’d turn it UP
I wonder if it’s because of the choice of music and not so much the volume. Would be interesting to know what was being played ????
Beverly Reilly Ombres
Ocean County Scanner News I would be perfectly fine with that. Ole
Beverly Reilly Ombres
Scott A Barnes That would be (and always is) my choice ???? ????????
Beverly Reilly Ombres I have recommendations for ya lol
Is it good music or crap music and why is only one person bothered by it?
It’s 3 pm relax & enjoy it!!
Depends on how loud and if its rap or country id freaking get a bb gun lol
Mare Mare I am 100% with you on that one. Hate them both
Did anyone ever think the person calling worked nights and was trying to sleep or the music was using vulgar language, or there was a baby in the house trying to sleep or trying to work from home and making calls. Granted if it’s once ok but continually – rude neighbor.
Carolee Moore prob not because seems like everyone is under the impression that they can do whatever they want because it’s the afternoon and they’re entitled idiots… Obviously unaware of the fact that it doesn’t matter if it’s before a towns “quiet” times it can still be a noise violation. Being neighborly has gone out the window with some, my neighbors and I tell each other ” Hey, I’m having a XYZ party next week, if it gets too loud let me know” because we know some work nights, or get up super early…The real ” Karen’s” are the ones who think that it’s ok and that they’re above following ordinances, not that ones who have to deal with living by those who think they have a frat house…
It’s 3:00 in the afternoon get over yourself I would put it louder and I can’t believe the cops responded
Heath ATelli I think legally they have to, but won’t do anything!
Valerie Jones such a wasted resource
Heath ATelli Yes it is!
Heath ATelli but the caller was MAD!!! ????????
The cop should have gone to the callers house and told them not to waste his time.
The caller need to CTFO
Completely ridiculous.
Hahahaha. Princess
Crank that music up…. no rules about music at 3pm.
Billy Bob , actually there is…. And it’s a hefty fine….
Tracey Andino every town I’ve lived in the noise ordinance doesn’t go into effect until 10pm, and if there is one during the day a decibel meter is required and most towns don’t have a certified one for the police to use.
Billy Bob , they don’t need a decibel reader…. Most towns have it where it it’s audible from something like 100ft from the property line it qualifies…. TR has it, as do all towns, the ft might be different…. But they are there…..look up nuisance acts…
Tracey Andino nope been there already…that’s why we have a noise ordinance think its 8-10pm on weekends 7-9pm weekdays…i don’t remember exactly
Lynn Marie noise ordinance/nuisance is on the books for every town….. Doesn’t matter what time it is IF(and this is straight from the law) it’s before or after those times:
Noise and disorderly conduct prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person by noisy or disorderly conduct to disturb or interfere with the quiet or good order of any place of assembly, public or private, including schools, churches, libraries and reading rooms, or take part in any riotous or other disorderly conduct that shall disturb the peace and quiet of any family or neighborhood or any of the inhabitants of this municipality.
Sometimes you just have to go with it. When the music stops, then worry.
I mean how loud could the music possibly be?
I would’ve done the same thing. Started playing it again. It can’t be “that loud”!
For the record: Lacey PD was called a third time to respond to the loud music.
Ocean County Scanner News
Ok I have been the neighbor with the loud music and the neighbor with an issue about the loud music. Rule of thumb if the music is loud enough to be heard in your neighbors home with doors and windows closed and keep them from hearing the TV or radio in their home then your music is to loud.
A few years back a neighbor was away and the older teens where home alone. They had a back yard get together with friends blasting music from a local radio station all day. I tried calling the house phone to get them to turn it down, but got voice mail. When it got to the 6th hr I called the radio station and asked them to dedicate a song to the kids on _______ street in ______ town thank them for sharing the music, but please next time not to use a cracked speaker to do so. The kids got a kick out of it turned the music down and got the speaker fixed before the next party.
Keep on rocking It’s Saturday Curfews 8 o’clock
Its amazing how people cry so much now a days, when I was a kid we had many parties and played loud music and noone called the cops on a Saturday during the day because it was that a Saturday. Get a life people you were young once let people have fun. ????♂️
