Stafford: On Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at approximately 7:50 PM, the Stafford Township Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) concluded a narcotics investigation by arresting an Allen Poplawski, 78 years old of Whitecap Avenue, Manahawkin, N.J.
Poplawski had been a target of interest that was initiated with numerous anonymous tips called into the DEU. At the time of his arrest, which was the result of a motor vehicle stop, Poplawski was in possession of 100 bags of Heroin.

Following the motor vehicle stop and arrest of Poplawski, the DEU along with the assistance of the Stafford Township Police’s Detective Bureau, K-9 Unit and the Barnegat Township Police’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) served a search warrant at a residence on Oak Avenue in the Cedar Run section of Stafford Township.

As a result of the search warrant, several more arrests were made.

Maryann Garcia, 40 years old and Alan Hill 32 years old were found to be hiding in the attic of the residence on Oak Avenue while the Detectives were searching the residence.

They were both later charged with Hindering Apprehension, Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession of CDS Prescription Tablets.
Additionally, both subjects were later transported to the Ocean County Jail on outstanding warrants in lieu of their bail by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, after they each received criminal complaint summonses pending a future court date in Ocean County Superior Court.

Trudy Shinn, 50 years old, was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS Heroin and Possession of CDS Methamphetamine.

In addition, Devin Post, 30 years old, was arrested for Possession of CDS Heroin and Possession with CDS paraphernalia.

Shinn and Post were released on criminal complaint summonses pending a future court date in Ocean County Superior Court.

Allen Poplawski was charged with Possession of CDS Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS Heroin, and Distribution of CDS Heroin. He was served criminal complaint summonses pending a future court date in Ocean County Superior Court.
