Following recent park closures and reversals in other townships, and complaints of large gatherings without mask or social distancing compliance, Brick Police appear to be limiting access to at least one local park. The recently renovated Bernie Cooke park in Brick Township, had barricades up across part of it’s parking lot, and as the left over spaces became filled, township Police Officers started stopping new cars from coming in.
While we here at OCSN (Ocean County Scanner News) are un-sure if this is a township wide policy that will continue, we hope it is successful at not causing our parks to be closed completely.

I had to take an injured animal to popcorn part today. Two guards and one cop in the street. I had to drive through the crowd and have someone come out to take the animal because the adoption area was closed. Cars parked all over Lacey road

other resident of surrounding town are ruining it for us all! They invaded Howell Jackson now brick parks and recreational trails . They don’t practice safety measures and haven’t since COVID hit ! They are spreading it like wild fire .

When we grew up in Ocean County you had to go to O.C.Park for fairs & to have a park . If a bus is going to drop off people, like kids in summer camps or for some kind of recreation, there should be a reservation required. Just pulling up in a bus means about 50 kids with minimal supervision-
The skating rink (while awesome) is very small and can’t really accommodate a lot of people. So many times I’ve driven past to see people crammed into it.
