DWI – On Saturday September 5th, Patrolman Dan Primavera conducted a motor vehicle stop on Herflicker Boulevard. Ptl. Primavera determined the driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old Seaside Heights woman, to be driving under the influence. The woman was arrested and issued several motor vehicle summonses including DWI, reckless driving, and wrong way down a one-way street. The woman was released pending a future court date.

DWI – On Monday September 7th, Patrolman Paul Santos conducted a motor vehicle stop on Water Street in Toms River. Ptl. Santos determined the driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old Toms River man, to be driving under the influence. The man was arrested and issued several motor vehicle summonses including DWI, reckless driving, and failure to obey a red traffic signal. The man was released pending a future court date.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On Wednesday September 9th, Patrolman William Kosh Jr. and Patrolman Jaden Kosh responded to the area of Amherst Road for a vehicle that had its windshield shattered. An on-scene investigation found the victim’s windshield to have been shattered by an object that was thrown at their vehicle while they were driving. This incident is still under investigation.

CDS/WARRANT ARREST – On Wednesday September 9th, Detective Jack Sayegh encountered a suspicious person in the area of Dover Road. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 27-year-old Manchester man, for possession of CDS as well as an outstanding warrant for Manchester Township. The man was processed then lodged in Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Saturday September 12th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton encountered a suspicious person at the Dance Centre on Atlantic city Boulevard. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 56-year-old Lakewood man for outstanding Ocean County Superior Court warrants. The man was processed and lodged in Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

CDS ARREST – On Monday September 14th, Patrolman Paul Santos and Patrolman Jaden Kosh were dispatched to the Wawa on Dover road for the report of a suspicious vehicle. During the course of the investigation, Patrolman William Kosh Jr. and K9 Loki were dispatched to the scene. Ptl. Kosh Jr. and K9 Loki performed an open-air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, which yielded CDS. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 43-year-old Pittstown man, was placed under arrest. The man was charged with possession of CDS and released pending a future court date.

WARRANT ARREST – On Thursday September 17th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton responded to the Toms River Police Headquarters to assist with a prisoner in their custody. The prisoner, a 31-year-old South Toms River man, was held on a warrant out of South Toms River borough. The man was taken into custody by Ptl. Stratton, processed, then transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Friday September 18th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh encountered a suspicious person in the area of Belmont Drive. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 28-year-old South Toms River man for an outstanding warrant out of Pine Hill borough. The man was taken into custody by Ptl. Kosh and turned over to Pine Hill Police department for further processing.

DWI – On Monday September 21st, Patrolman Dan Primavera conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 166 in the area of Mathis Plaza. Ptl. Primavera determined the driver of the vehicle, a 62-year-old Pine Beach man, to be driving under the influence. The man was arrested and issued several motor vehicle summonses including DWI, reckless driving, and failure to obey a red traffic signal. The man was released pending a future court date.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT – On Wednesday September 23rd, Sergeant Anthony Giacinti and Officer Dan Dugan responded to the area of Colgate Drive for the report of a disorderly person. A 49-year-old South Toms River woman has been abusing the 9-1-1 hotline for emergency services throughout the night. After officers responded to false alarms several times, Sgt. Giacinti placed the woman under arrest. The woman was charged with creating false public alarms and was released pending a future court date.

WARRANT ARREST – On Thursday September 24th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton responded to police headquarters to serve an outstanding warrant. A 32-year-old Hasbrouck Heights woman was arrested on the strength of a South Toms River Municipal Court Warrant, and was released pending a future municipal court date.

BOROUGH ORDINANCE VIOLATION – On Saturday September 26th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton encountered a suspicious person at the Brook Forest Beach Club on Brook Forest Drive. An on-scene investigation led to the discovery of a 45-year-old Manchester man violating a borough ordinance against having an open container of alcohol in public. The man was issued a summons for an open container of alcohol in public.
