Hello my name is Amanda Ferraro and I am a two-time AML leukemia survivor as well as a stem cell transplant recipient and this years Mercer County Honored Hero for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society New Jersey Chapter.

I got to  met with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Manalapan Township at the Town Hall, to accept a proclamation of town wide support and a certificate of recognition for being the Honored Hero of Manalapan!

At the meeting last night the Mayor read a proclamation dedicated to me as the Honored Hero. He also announced a town wide “wear orange day” (in support of me) will be on October 14th. My goal is to raise funds for the LLS before our wear orange day. All funds will be added to my team (Team Cancer Crusaders) fundraiser. (I do have a letter from the LLS if you would like to see the tax identification information before donating.)

I am so honored to receive this award from the Mayor and Deputy Mayor and I know wholeheartedly that Manalapan Township with raise enough funds to surpass my teams goal!
