Island Heights: This morning at 2:12am we were dispatched to a working structure fire in Island Heights. Upon arrival at the scene Chief 5300 observed a detached garage with smoke and flames coming from the front of the structure. Engine 5311 arrived on scene quickly and was instructed to pull handlines and extinguish the fire. Engine 5301 arrived shortly after and provided more manpower to help safely put out the remainder of the fire. No people or animals were harmed and damage was contained to just the garage. A great effort by all of our members involved!
