An update to the pedestrian struck on Mantoloking Road from last night-
Brick: On Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2248 hrs., Brick Township Police Patrol Units responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Mantoloking Road between Fairfield Avenue and Piel Avenue. Upon arrival they discovered that Pedestrian #1 had been struck by vehicle #1 as he attempted to cross the roadway. He was unconscious, unresponsive and was not breathing. Officers initiated life saving measures which were continued by Brick Police Emergency Medical Services and Paramedics from Hackensack Hospital. He was transported to Brick Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Brick Township Police Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene along with the Ocean County Sheriffs Criminal Investigation Unit. Traffic was detoured for several hours while the scene was processed.
This crash is under investigation and we would ask anyone who may have witnessed it or has information related to the crash to please contact Ptl. J. Farnkopf #173 at (732) 262-1140.

Joe Varga yup! I was delivering for DoorDash that night and stopped at Ridgeway Liquors around 6:20 when I saw all the emergency activity.
Ocean County Scanner News also something else happened on 571 around 2 pm that day. By the football field. East bound was stopped a solid 10 minutes. I don’t know what happened. A lot of us busted u turns. I had an appointment to get to. So if you find anything out about that one as well

Brick police continue to let their informant bill crash his company vehicles on mantoloking rd and old hooper on sep 5 without issuing any citations. Drunk again without prosecution. Twice in two years. Will the police be responsible when he kills someone?
I wonder if the driver even feels bad. I know when I cross the streets in silverton drivers speed excellertate the gas and makes car speed up and never slows down. If i slip or fall chances are I will get hit.
