AUGUST 2020 STRPD POLICE BLOTTER

CDS ARREST – On Saturday August 1st, Sergeant Anthony Giacinti and Patrolman Garrett Stratton responded to the area of Route 166 for a suspicious person. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 60-year-old Bayonne man for possession of CDS. The man was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

CDS ARREST – On Monday August 10th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Wawa parking lot on Dover Road. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Beachwood man for possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. The man was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

DWI – On Wednesday August 12th, Patrolman William Kosh Jr. and Patrolman Jaden Kosh responded to the area of Route 9 and South Main Street for a motor vehicle accident. Ptl. W. Kosh Jr. determined the driver of one of the vehicles, a 22-year-old Lakewood man, to be driving under the influence. The man was arrested and issued several summonses including DWI, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the scene of an accident. The man was processed and released pending a future court date.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On Thursday August 13th, Patrolman Garrett Stratton and Sergeant Thomas Femiano responded to the area of Drexel Drive for the report of criminal mischief. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered a large rock was thrown through the front window of the residence, destroying the window. This incident is still under investigation.

WARRANT ARREST – On Wednesday August 19th, Patrolman Daniel Primavera responded to police headquarters to serve an outstanding warrant. A 44-year-old Ocean Gate man was arrested at the strength of a Greenwich Township warrant. The man was processed and released pending a future court date with Greenwich Township.

ASSAULT – On Sunday August 23rd, Patrolman Garrett Stratton and Sergeant Anthony Giacinti responded to the area of Route 166 for the report of an assault. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 30-year-old Beachwood woman for assault related charges. The woman was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

WARRANT ARREST – On Monday August 24th, Patrolman Daniel Primavera responded to a residence on Charles Avenue to serve an outstanding warrant. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 54-year-old South Toms River woman on a warrant from Manchester Township. The woman was processed and released pending a future court date with Manchester Township.

CDS ARREST – On Wednesday August 26th, Patrolman Jaden Kosh and Officer Daniel Dugan responded to the Wawa on Dover Road for the report of a suspicious person. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 58-year-old Toms River man for possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. The man was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

WARRANT ARREST – On Sunday August 30th, Patrolman Rebecca Kirchgessner responded to the Toms River Police Headquarters to assist with a prisoner in their custody. The prisoner, a 27-year-old South Toms River man, was held on a warrant out of South Toms River borough. The man was taken into custody by Ptl. Kirchgessner, processed, then transported to Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

WARRANT ARREST – On Sunday August 30th, Patrolman Paul Santos conducted a motor vehicle stop in the Wawa parking lot on Dover Road. An on-scene investigation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Freehold woman for an outstanding warrant out of Freehold Borough. The woman was processed and released pending a future court date with Freehold Borough.
