Cindy Himpele Asay I don’t think “they” meaning our tax dollars need to anything, maybe if people followed the 25mph exit n on ramp speeds this wouldn’t happen. $50,000 for road projects because people don’t follow simple rules.
Taryn Conser The exits are too close together – getting on and getting off especially Exit 82 – both getting on and off merge together … putting more distance between the 2 would have made more sense (seeing as 82 in the summer is a very popular EXIT)
I agree but now we’re not even talking the same exits and entrances. Toms River on and off ramps suck but this accident occurred where the parkway is at full speed and the on ramp is a mile stretch before you even have to get over with no exits before that lane ends. Chances are it wasn’t this persons fault. I feel very sorry for all involved and can only say drive safe!!!
Taryn Conser I know there have been several(too many) accidents at this mile marker just seems odd, I do agree that people travel way too fast on that parkway in fact I keep my 18 & 19yr olds OFF!!

Exit 82 is an issue. This accident happened at exit 81 SB though. They were probably going too fast for the curve.
Taryn Conser isn’t the exit your refer too exit 80? This accident was at 81, a hard curve to the right, if I’m thinking of the correct one.
Exit 82 is too short to be an entrance merge & exit, imo. Then exit 80 is a mile long lol ????????♀️
Britt Any nope not at all, u guys are thinking north this happened southbound. There is only an on ramp. So either they just weren’t paying attention or had a senior moment

Update: Last we heard, NJSP said the vehicle somehow drove off on its own.

Oh I know that exit. Guess they don’t. It’s a tight turn and you need to go real slow. Thank god on one was entering the parkway there then it would of been way worse
