Toms River: Earlier tonight we posted a story out of Seaside Heights regarding a stolen Maroon Kia Optima. The vehicle was taken from the residence in SSH as the homeowners were moving vehicles around the property. While the Kia was left running, a thief jumped in the vehicle and fled with it towards the bridge. A short while later, Toms River PD located the vehicle near NJ 37 @ King in their town with the assistance of a K9 Unit. Now the suspect has been apprehended and the vehicle will be returned after processing.

Anna Lazic I’m so thankful for all of their work. My husband and I were getting ready to leave for our shift at work. He thought I left without him. He came in the house, seen me coming down the stairs, and said shit, that wasn’t you, someone just stole your car ????♀️
Sharon Pelias must have been so scary! Thank goodness they got him in custody. People are crazy lately…I hope the bite hurt him and he is reminded of it every day! Crime doesn’t pay!
Anna Lazic never in my life has something like this ever happened. I would assume he was scoping out my husband switching cars. My husband said he probably didn’t want to take his because it stalls all the time ???????? but it happened right under my husbands nose. He was quick. He didn’t get far though. I was so thankful they recovered it so quickly. He was probably looking for money and stuff, but I don’t leave stuff like that in my car. Only change. My husbands bag was in the car though. And the guy was wearing my work shoes. Yuck. I told the police they could keep them. I didn’t want those back ????????
Sharon Pelias unbelievable!! I work part-time as a soccer coach at night and there have been at least 6 cars that I know of that were broken into. Purses, wallets and other valuables taken while kids were playing.
You definitely don’t want those shoes back!!????
