From JCP&L: Two additional staging sites in Forked River and North Flemington will accommodate the 1,300 additional line workers being deployed to assist with #TropicalStormIsaias restoration. Nearly 4,000 utility personnel are already engaged in the restoration effort. Staging sites operate like mini-cities, offering workers a place to eat, refuel and stock up on supplies as they work to restore power.

Carol Lauro
Suz Grillo whiting. Lots of us oldies need power. In more ways than you can imagine
Carol Lauro they are coming in from other areas to help
I remember talking to out of state Linemen after Sandy. Telling me how outdated our system was then. It’s still the same shit.
Earl Creveling yes I talked with the Bama boys and they stated the same thing They were a great crew and got stuff done
Earl Creveling no one wants to pay the increases needed to update and rebuild the system.
Thank you to all the states sending crews here to help.If only they were staged prior
I hope everyone learns it’s important to keep up your property. Trim your trees, check overhead wires, have power tools available if possible. This was a baby compared to what could come. Hurricane season is just beginning.
THANKS
Imagine if it was a hurricane. We’d be f**ked !!
About time
Thank you
You would think after Hurricane Sandy they would have started putting utilities under ground to stop some of these power outages due to trees and fallen wires……TM
Nancy N Terry Mooney Yea underground is no bargain trust me. Lines are constantly getting ripped out every time they are digging anywhere.. takes longer to repair when they do get hit.. corrosion plays hell on the wires underground too.
Thank you JCP&L. Our power is back.
JCPL learned nothing from Sandy still a laughing stock in the Utility Industry, love hearing crews from outside our state joke about how far behind everyone else we are.
Thank you
Almost like SANDY.
Power went out 1130 yesterday morning and mine came back on at 9pm thanks jcpl
Be safe and THANK YOU❤️

JCP&L employees are dedicated men and women who work all hours to keep us up and running. Thank you. We sure do appreciate the job you do.
Thank you for restoring our service ❤
Thank you,our power is back on!????
In Toms River NJ… Periwinkle and Arizona Ave has 2 trees blocking both streets of this intersection.
Periwinkle is a dead end with no access out!!!
JCPL & AC Electric are friggen rockstars trust me.. Those guys bust there ass to get the grid up.My cousin lives in Bergen county. Was out 14 days after Sandy..
Out now and not expecting power till Monday or Tuesday.. so sick of clueless people
Complaining about trucks
Sitting at the mall and stuff.. They are called staging areas! The Army,Police, Fire all do
It the same way..They bring fuel trucks in to fuel the electric trucks.. They bring flatbeds in with spools of cable and transformers and the rest of the equipment they need.. and yes when working 5 days in a row 24 hours a day they do need to eat and drink.. That’s where the crews come to when coming in from Florida,The Midwest and yes Canada.. People should be so grateful that these guys are out doing a dangerous job in dangerous conditions to get them back up and running. Instead of bitching.. power goes out big friggen deal buy a small generator and deal with it..
Say it louder for the crying bitches in the back.
Good news

With all the million-dollar upgrades after Sandy why are we still having so many problems someone’s pocket got padded
Mark Altman I thought the same!! I just got a call back saying they HOPE to have the power back on in my area by 8/11!!! WHAT??? ????
Rae Glowinski Richardson very sad how big money has a way to talk : I got it priority first but stop dropping the dime
They need to bring in real crews!!!!! But those crews are going to get a great laugh with our antiquated system!!! ????????????????????????
It just seems amazing to me that this storm did so much damage. I feel for the people who still have no power.
I have not seen one utility truck in my area in Brick since I lost power……hopefully that changes soon.
Thank you all linemen and those clearing debris.
They did ok this time…was down for 20 hours. Not the end of the world for me, but people with medical devices that require electricity might disagree with me.

So do those out of state workers have to quarantine for 2 weeks first?
Justin A Skorochod I was thinking the same thing yesterday ????
They are working as fast as they can. My house is 93 but I’m just patiently waiting these men and women are working all day and night. Stop being so selfish they are working as fast as they can.
Thank you to all utility workers ????????????????????????????????????????
Every block down our development has power.. They apparently skipped our steet.. we called several times. I had surgery yesterday, I’m on oxygen and I have no where else to go..
We are off Oakridge Parkway in Toms River. Please come soon
.
But do they have to quarantine for 14 days or are we not doing that anymore
