Stafford: A video has been circulating on Tik Tok and other social media outlets showing an incident this morning at the Costco in Manahawkin. The customer is verbally abusing the checkout employee horribly and being a massive asshole. While we are not aware of the situation that lead up to this verbal outbreak, there is generally no acceptable excuse to treat another person with such disrespect. Also unknown why the customer was not removed from the premises immediately as he was acting like this. Let’s hope we can identify this loser and publicly shame him for his actions.

What an asshole! Costco needs to step up. They know who this is from his membership and at the very least they need to permanently ban him from every codtco. And corporate refs to train their managers better – we don’t see t HT em in this video and have to assume they did not intervene. That poor employee did not deserve that.
Just remember, customers are also irritating when complaining about prices, product availability, long lines, etc. Nonr of which is the fault of employees. This could be you. Try to remind yourself of that before you go into any store and be that person.
Someone talking like that to a stranger doesn’t have a full deck. As long as he wasn’t physically harming her, I would stand back but the old cheerleader in me would have had everyone chanting “@sshole! @sshole!” There are a lot of mentally ill out there & this world is making them struggle more. I’m sure that cashier got plenty of support. I would have started a “go fund me” for her right there & then. Just start handing her some money.
