Lavallette: A short time ago, Toms River enacted a curfew for juveniles on the barrier island. This is due to teenagers causing problems, being disrespectful, and damaging property among other annoyances. Just this Monday at the Lavallette Town meeting, they enacted a curfew for juveniles also.

Lavallette borough put into place a curfew for those under age 18 from 21:00 to 05:00, except those accompanied by an adult or returning home from work. The curfew order will be enacted under the existing state of emergency to counter the Coronavirus pandemic. It comes after parents have allegedly been dropping their teenage children off in town. This is causing large gatherings and several incidents over the past weekend especially.
