For Immediate Release: June 30, 2020

The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying individuals in reference to an ongoing investigation. The investigation stems from the rioting and looting that took place on May 31, 2020 throughout parts of Atlantic City.

Investigators have reviewed hundreds of hours of video recorded coverage from public and private cameras resulting in the identification of suspects who will be criminally charged at the completion of the investigation.

“The Atlantic City Police Department respects and supports those who exercise their First Amendment rights, including the right to peacefully protest,” said Chief of Police Henry M. White Jr. “Individuals should not have their constitutionally protected rights hijacked by individuals committing criminal activity.”

“The release of the photographs and footage followed a month of legwork by a special task force created by the Atlantic City Police Department to hold people accountable for the serious crimes that occurred during the protest on May 31, specifically in the area of Tanger Outlets Atlantic City,” said Chief White.

Anyone with information about the identity of any of these individuals is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department at 609-343-3771 or email [email protected].
