Attempted Luring Investigation
The Jackson Police Department is investigating the report of an attempted luring which took place on Sunday May 31, 2020.
Officers responded to the residence of an 11 year old child who reported that on Sunday at approximately 5:00 pm while walking on Woodlane Road in the area of Wisconsin Drive, he was approached by a male driving a mini van. The vehicle stopped and the male rolled the window down and told the child that his mother had sent him to pick him up. The child replied that he did not and ran away toward the direction of Woodlane Park as the male then drove away towards South New Prospect Road.
The vehicle was described as a gray colored minivan, no further information.
The driver/suspect was described as a white male with short, curly dark hair, a thin black goatee, wearing black colored sunglasses, no further information.
The driver left the area on Woodlane Road travelling toward South New Prospect.

Glad to hear some of what they learn from school programs and parents really is sinking in! This is a dangerous situation for a child to find themselves in and she nailed it! You did an excellent job!! Hopefully it won’t happen again but you all know the odds of that. Keep reminding your kids all the right things to do and pray they stay safe.
Just wondering do any of the homes near there have ring or other camera facing the street that could of captured an image of the van?
