Here are the latest updates for our local shore towns that may or may not impact your weekend plans: Any questions check your local towns website, or Facebook page. Please do not call police emergency lines for questions related to the beach or boardwalk, especially on a holiday weekend!

Barnegat Light
All ocean beaches are open for walking and sitting. Lifeguards will only patrol in vehicles to remind non-family members to social distance.
The Borough’s Bay Beach for kids is closed and unguarded.
No beach badges are required until mid-June.
No sitting lifeguards until mid-June.

Bay Head
Seven street ends open: 1) Osborne Avenue 2) North Street 3) Bridge Avenue
4) Johnson Street 5) Egbert Street 6) Strickland Street 7) Howe Street
Beach regulations
ALLOWED: Fishing, surfing, walking, jogging and sitting
NOT ALLOWED: Swimming, sitting on platforms, picnicking, organized sports, or activities.
DOGS ON LEASHES ONLY (STRICTLY ENFORCED), SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED!

Beach Haven
Open Beaches. Use social distancing. No lifeguards on duty. We do not have a bayside beach. Beach badges not required until June 27th

Beachwood Beach
Playground closed and beach area closed. However parking lot open and walking Path open. Parking permits and beach badges can be obtained online at Beachwoodusa.com, application tab.

Berkeley Township
Beaches will be open as they usually are. Seasonal and daily badges will be sold. Badges are available for pickup at 23rd Ave badge booth.

Brick Township
Effective May 23rd 2020 Brick Township Beaches 1, 2 & 3 shall remain open to the public. Access is permitted at Beach 1 & 2. Brick Beach 3 parking area and access shall remain closed while under construction. Team and recreational sports are prohibited. Swimming is prohibited at Brick Beach 2 & 3. Swimming will be permitted at Brick Beach 1 and Windward Beach when lifeguards are present. Restrooms at Beach 1 and Windward will be open and follow EO protocols. Social distancing shall be adhered to and will be strictly enforced.

Eagleswood
Does not have bathing beach. Our Fishing Pavilion and Boat Ramps are currently open to the public. Swimming does occur at Stafford Forge WMA off Forge Road.

Island Heights
Beaches and boardwalk are open. Beach badges are required for use of the beach and for fishing and crabbing anywhere in the Boro.

Harvey Cedars
Open Beaches. Emergency restrictions and regulations for beaches are effective immediately.
A. Public access and use of the beach shall be on foot only.
B. No unauthorized vehicle use shall be permitted on the beach.
C. No congregating of any kind outside the scope of the requirements of Executive Order 107.
D. All social distancing guidelines shall apply.
E. The Emergency Management Coordinator, the Borough Police
Department and the Borough Beach Patrol shall be charged with the enforcement of the terms of this Order.
F. Penalties for violations of this Order may be imposed under, among other statutes, N.J.S.A. App. A:9-49 and -50.

Lavallette
As of May 5, 2020, off season beach access is permitted for exercising, fishing, surfing, and sunbathing. No games or organized activities are allowed, and animals are prohibited as usual.
On Friday, May 22, 2020, the boardwalk will be open for walking and exercising. Bikes will be PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES this summer on the boardwalk. Anyone using the boardwalk is asked to keep as far right as possible to increase distance while passing others, and continually keep 6 feet of separation from non-family members. The use of masks or face coverings are recommended in any social setting where proper social distancing cannot be maintained. Water fountains will remain out of service and the pavilions will closed. Benches will remain at this time, but proper social distancing must be adhered to. Anyone using the boardwalk should refrain from congregating or talking in groups that will impede others from walking by at a safe distance.
The Lavallette Beach will open for the summer season on Saturday, June 20, 2020, when lifeguards will be on duty and beach badges will be required. Lavallette does not require beach badges or parking stickers until June 20, 2020.

Ocean Gate
Beaches are open. There are no lifeguards until June 15. So is swim at your own risk. Badges are required from June 15 to Labor Day Parking fees are changes either via the parking Kisok or paid parking seasonal passes. All social distancing rules apply. PD bike patrol will be on from 10am- midnight.

Pine Beach
Beach access with beach badges only. No swimming without lifeguards present.

Pt. Pleasant Beach
The following beaches will be open, Maryland Ave Beach and Bradshaw’s beach at Washington Ave. Jenkinson’s will not be open this weekend.

Seaside Park
Beaches are open and beach badges are required (weekends only) starting Saturday May 23rd until June 30th.

Ship Bottom
Status for Memorial Day weekend as follows: Ocean open: unguarded, no swimming, social distancing. Bay Beach, Open:, unguarded ,no swimming, social distancing. Boat ramp open, Parks open, Playgrounds closed.

Toms River – Ortley Beach
• Beaches are manned by lifeguards on weekend starting Memorial Day weekend and daily starting June 20.
• Swimming permitted when lifeguards are on duty between 9-5
On weekdays and 9-6 on weekends
• Social distancing is both required and mandated
this summer on Ortley Beach by Gubernatorial and Mayoral executive orders.
• Passive recreation including beach chairs, blanket and sunbathing is permissible
• Families should remain at least six feet apart from other blankets and chairs.
• Face masks are strongly recommended due to COVID-19 upon entering and exiting beach
• Toms River Police will be patrolling the beach to encourage social distancing among our guests
• No organized group sorts/ activities permitted
• Ortley Beach is open for walking and running
• Fishing and Surfing is permitted only after bathing hours

Mantoloking
Beach open, parking restrictions lifted as of Thursday May 20th, No badges required (until June 20th), checkers and lifeguards start June 20th, Police ATV on beach from 11am to 7pm.
