Howell: This afternoon we were dispatched to the Howell Stop and Shop for a family of ducks that had fallen into a storm drain. Upon arrival we found 10 ducklings in the drain, with momma duck pacing anxiously in the parking lot. We opened the grate, and removed them and placed them in a box. We then brought them across the parking lot to the old Barnes and Noble and let them out. Ultimately they fell back into a different storm drain and had to be removed again. Animal control responded out and assisted with placing mom and ducklings into a safe area. Thank you to Officer McBride from Howell Township Police Department for assisting with the whole operation.
