Earlier this evening, we were alerted by a loyal fan, to a post they saw on facebook. The post had a series of videos attached of various first responders showing their appreciation durring the Jersey Shore University Medical Center Shift Change and carried the message:

There’s a tree branch in my eye ???????????????? Neptune Township Police Department Asbury Park Fire Department, Neptune First Aid Squad, Ocean Grove Fire & Little Silver EMS, you guys have such a special place in our hearts, esp in the ER

While a similar post stated:

no words can even begin to describe how our work has changed recently… tonight our police/fire/ems community gathered to cheer us on and show us just how much they care – tonight put some smiled on our faces and some happy tears in our eyes

We at Ocean County Scanner News would like to add our thanks to those of all the awesome first responders, and say THANK YOU to everyone that is working during this pandemic crisis. We recognize how you put your lives on the line on a daily basis, and promise to let up on our complaining about having to stay home (at least a little bit).
