The impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the community of Howell has been felt by us all. Many of us know a friend, family member or co-worker who has been affected. The same holds true at ShopRite of Howell, where a member of our work family – the associates who provide essential services every day – has reported being diagnosed with a case of COVID-19. As soon as the individual alerted us, all store associates were notified.
We also immediately implemented the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended protocol to reduce the spread of the virus and implemented our own enhanced deep cleaning process including sanitizing all workspaces used by the associate and common areas.
The well-being of our customers and associates is our number one priority.
To protect our patrons and dedicated associates, we have proactively undertaken a series of enhancements to create the safest shopping environment possible.
These measures include:
· The installation of Plexiglas shields at every register, the pharmacy, and customer service counter.
· The designation of special registers for our elderly and immuno-compromised customers.
· Providing masks and gloves to all our associates.
· The posting of social distancing reminders throughout the store.
· Utilizing the overhead messaging system to continually remind patrons to keep a safe distance from each other.
The store remains open and continues to follow all necessary guidelines as recommended by the CDC.
Grocery stores are an essential business and we’re proud of the amazing dedication our associates are demonstrating to our communities during this emergency. We’re grateful for their commitment to keeping our stores open and shelves stocked with essential products. While we are always pleased to have customers’ patronage, we’re especially thankful for their continued patience and support during this crisis.
The containment of the Coronavirus is a shared responsibility and we remind everyone:
· If you are sick, please refrain from coming to the store
· Cover your coughs and sneezes
· Wash your hands regularly and do not touch your face
· Practice social distancing, wherever possible

When will supermarkets regulate amount of people in a store?
Find it odd all these sr are posting same exact thing down to the two employees positive
Lisa thought the same.
Lisa Fraraccio-Marotta, it isn’t the same. If you read, it says Howell has ONE employee, Toms River has TWO
Tracy Sutton and now brick

Wow , I’m so happy I didn’t go to ShopRite when this all started. It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve stepped into their store.
They need to close for 1 day to at least do a weekly cleaning. These places are essential, however we can go 1 day without them.

Nicole Recchia – is this where you go??
Amy Recchia i have Been there yes but not in months. Been going to Jackson one
Funny how everyone preached about social distancing but all ran into the stores with hundreds of others to buy 100 rolls of toilet paper ???? ????????♀️
Putting the EMPLOYEES at risk !!
Soooooo shoprite runs this same post one day and even hours apart for each shoprite, Fisher, Manchester, Rt 37, Brick and now Howell. No coincidence there at all.

Shannon Gonzalez now Manahawkin too
I think they are trying to scare us cuz if we know someone tested positive there then obviously we are not going to go there which will slow down the people going there lol
Tabby Love or getting ahead of the inevitable because there has to be a lot of them since they are working around the public so much. I agree with you
Tabby Love and Sharon Gonzolas they have to disclose the info because if the public was not aware and someone gets contaminated there would be a liability. Since they disclosed the info it is shop at your own risk. The dont want to deter anyone from buying necessitys but i work at one of their stores and the customers dont seem to care it’s very sad and scary to think im here for them and they cant even show me common courtesy and adhere to social distance requirements
Robert Dore ????
From the first day of this shut down I thought limiting the hours a supermarket can be opened was a dumb idea. It will cause crowds. Open them longer same amount of people, shorter lines
Has this been on News 12 yet ??
Heard Costco too

What about all the liquor stores people come in and out like a revolving door! u know they clean all the racks of bottles everyone handles each day. Not to mention the contaminated money passing around especially the ones who dig $6.00 in change out of there pockets for a pint and the next few customers get it back in change! I moved here from Pa we have drive through distributors who put whatever u want right in your trunk and get 10% off if using a card vs cash. Even if your wearing gloves u know dam well u take em right off throw em in the parking lot put your cash away and hug that 6 pack or bottle until u get home! Lol
Bret Bockelkamp well New Jersey doesn’t breed common sense!
Kelly Thomas fyi this is your shoprite
Stephanie De Socio Diaz i wonder why they put hazlet shoprites pic?? It says howell
Although i wouldn’t be surprised if ours had it
Kelly Thomas Haha they changed it now 😉
as is every 5th person walking in the store. which is WHY WE ARE TOLD TO STAY THE FUCK HOME
Colleen Andryszewski Kolacki
I don’t understand why they can not just go full curbside/delivery and stop in-store shopping? I did that in the beginning but now all the food stores are booked full for weeks curbside or delivery. If everyone was just filling orders I am sure they could get their curbside pick u, up to speed and there could be very limited in-store shopping as far as people allowed into the store at one time.

I pray for the health of these workers. They are putting their lives at risk and their families too so that the people could have food. In my eyes they are heroes as well. God bless them all

Ladies be careful
Danette Wall Hempel it’s the inevitable it’s going to happen especially at food stores
I can’t believe some of the comments I am reading today. Shop rite is closing early to do thorough cleaning every night. As soon as someone finds out they have the virus Shop Rite advises all their employees in case they were in contact with them. They can’t do pickup for all since then they would have to hire many many more employees. Shop Rite is doing their best.
Haven’t stepped in any store since March 12 except for CVS
