David Gluck, age 42, of Lakewood and Abraham Haberfeld, age 32, of Lakewood were each charged with Maintaining a Nuisance in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-12a.
On Monday, March 30, 2020, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Lakewood Township Police were summoned to 401 Madison Ave. for a report of a large gathering of people. Responding Officers found approximately 35 individuals inside the building. This gathering was in violation of Executive Order No. 107 signed by Governor Phil Murphy on March 21, 2020, which bans gatherings of individuals, whether they be at weddings, parties, celebrations, or other social events. After several unsuccessful attempts by the Officers to clear the building, the crowd was eventually dispersed. The building’s owner, David Gluck and the building’s manager Abraham Haberfeld were each charged with maintaining a nuisance.
We will continue to enforce Executive Order 107. Nothing short of 100% compliance will be tolerated. Stay home and practice social distancing, and please have some consideration for our law enforcement officers

Not true at all. I am a construction worker working in and around Lakewood for the past 8 years. The only thing I can tell you from what I have been seeing is that the Jews and mainly only the Jews are the nicest people out there. I as a non Jew get a big thank you from almost every orthodox man passing by and had on many many occasions they brought out cold drinks for me and the workers. I haven’t seen anything at all with cops letting them get away.
