To further protect employees from the COVID-19 virus, Stop & Shop Supermarkets have installed Plexiglass barriers are the checkstands. This is where the cashier stands and it helps to keep the cashiers from possibly catching Coronavirus. Stop & Shop is doing this at all their stores as the pandemic continues to spread.

Chris Joseph
Shop Rite also and they have blue tape on floor 6ft distance. And someone tell you what cashier to go to.
Kathy M Gleason Most places have that
Kathy M Gleason which ShopRite
Kathy M Gleason no one listen or obeys. I was in Walmart yesturday standing on my strip of tape Lady in front of me same thing. Lady comes behind me breathing down my neck bumping me with the stuff she had in her arms.
So you mean when you see a Blue or Yellow line six feet away from each other, common sense does not set in and tell..wait ,I have to stay here unless otherwise told to move?
Teresa Jasinski 37. Was just there yesterday and they had them.
Greedy Shoprite needs to get on board!
Carol LaBianca they are. Just went to Bayville. Very organized with several precautions in place
Carol LaBianca They are on the ones on 37. Was just there yesterday.
Shop Rite is Manasquan has them too

Tom Blomquist I am but it is 14 days for Delivery so if your1/2 out of something, better order now.
Linda Smith Trum they need to hire some of the unemployed
I saw this the other day can’t blame them
Love it great idea to protect the workers & the shoppers…
Are they sanitizing all the objects before the cashier touches them?
shop rite needs to do this
Dot Winskey Leming Douglas they are. Just went to Bayville. Very organized with several precautions in place
oh thats great i didnt know i havent been to store in 2 weeks over this thanks
Dot Winskey Leming Douglas our shoprite doesn’t have them.
Oh really wonder why not
Dot Winskey Leming Douglas I don’t know, maybe they just didn’t do it yet. I was there on Thursday and they weren’t up. Maybe they are now.
Maybe
And they need to restock!
Are they wearing gloves and masks? This virus lives on cardboard, plastic etc… they can still come in contact even if they put up barriers.
Brick Shoprite has them
Elaine McGovern O’Connell
Costco as well. Plus tape on the ground to keep people in line 6ft apart.
Why don’t stop and shop let only one person at a time at the register like shop right
Ginger Bergstrom I agree the both the shield and 6 foot rule. As of yesterday Shoprite in Jackson did not have the shields. I hope they are being installed soon there
They should because there are so many mentaly ill people running around coughing on people sneezing on people.Good employees well being first. Way to go stop and shop.????
Costco has them also
They won’t even take your membership card or Id at member services
Also, Costco is NOT taking receipts to verify cart against receipt at the exit door.
Costco has them too
Acme too
Bayville ShopRite has them.
Good very good protect those ladies and gentlemen at the registers day or two soldiers
They all should keep these up even after the outbreak
Rob King Yep. New way of life going forward.
What about the Shop Rite stores,? I know they are different owners but they should be both on the same page for this
Tim Reid already doing it.
Both the ones here in Toms River, Saker owns the one in Freehold and Rt 37
This is a good idea keep their employees safe as possible
Does Fischer Shop Rite? No? Imagine that…
Ellen Jeyschune Fischer ShopRite has them.
Really ?did they just get them?
Costco has them. They Sanitize it after every member. Lines on floor to keep people 6 ft apart. Limited # of people in the building at a time. Every other register open. They also have a crew that goes from register to register sanitizing the whole thing.
ShopRite in bayville also has them as of today
Shop Rite in Freehold is doing the same plus giving out masks and gloves and spray disinfectant to the cashiers.
Jai Meelise
Shoprite in Toms River as well. Also tape on the ground to keep people in line 6ft apart.
I was happy to see that
Good to see everyone is happy about them….we’ll be paying for them through jacked up food prices. You don’t think ShopRite will absorb that cost.
It can’t be too costly for about 10 pieces of plastic per store.
Wonderful
About damn time… stop & Shop was a breeding ground. No gloves on employees hands. Management was not keeping the number of ppl in the store at the required number. There was no social distancing at all in forced….. I would not go there even though it was the closest grocery store to my house.
All good but there’s no protection from the back unless ever other regerster is open then not really that effective
wow
BJ’s also
Wawa needs this, especially in Lakewood!
