Lakewood: Another Day, Another Wedding?
Lakewood police responded to another wedding this evening on Wayne Street.

According to police,
The discovery was made by patrol officers who were responding to the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
While tending to the scene two vans pulled up with would be wedding guests. The officers then noticed that a nearby backyard had a party tent set up.
Further investigation resulted in the issuance of a criminal complaint to 39 year old William Katzenstein. He is expected in court in next month and the gathering was dispersed.
Mayor Raymond Coles has ordered the tent, tables and chairs be impounded until “all this is over.”

Obviously a quarantine can’t be placed around Lakewood, but the National Guard can be asked to patrol the streets to assist the police. The NG doesn’t have to make arrests but they can notify the police when these pop up events take place. I also think it’s time to start charging the guests as well as the homeowner. If I were the police, I’d charge the homeowner with terrorist threats, maybe even attempted murder. Obviously an attempted murder charge wouldn’t stick, but let them spend a fortune plea bargaining the charge down. In addition to charging the partygoers they should be writing down their names. If one of these partygoers dies from coronavirus then charge the homeowner with manslaughter. This goes for anyone that is defying the social distancing law.
I saw a school bus pulling into grande Woodlands off whitesville rd TR 3/26/20 @ about 1pm.
Not sure that was improper as they are delivering meals to the kids that would have otherwise gotten them at school based on need.
All should be quarantined in tent for 10 days..all fined not just host.they all participated.in breaking law

It’s not the entire community that’s doing this, but it is a large portion that feels they’re exempt to any laws.
Murphy stated earlier we are all in this together. But if that’s true then why is this happening in the same town multiple times with no repercussions? No other town is doing this. It’s reckless behavior and the Mayor should be held accountable just as much as the violators.
