This morning at 08:00 the PNC Arts Center will open for a drive-through COVID-19 testing site. As we approach the 08:00 hour, we are hearing reports of motorists already lining up on the shoulder of the GSP waiting for the site to open. Remember, patients and motorists are NOT permitted to line up along the GSP. Also, the commuter lots will be closed.

I really don’t get the urge to be tested ?? Even if you come up positive its the same as Negative ..They send you HOME to wait 14days !! ( which everyone should be doing already !! ) Unless of course you cant breath and have high fever .People are Just weird !!

You can not line up on the parkway in the shoulder lane how is that not going to happen? NJSP will have to be there to control traffic all the while it’s open. PS It’s not ” Mass Hysteria” you can not be tested without a Dr order. Buying cases of water, TP, paper towels, that’s Mass Hysteria!

I have been told others will be coming but only having one, right on/off the PKY is just crazy. I guess the first ones that will open are in central locations and based on the need of those that could be infected.

All this does is make it worse. If you feel sick or show symptoms quarantine, drink fluids, take Tylenol for 90 percent of the people they will be fine in a week. No one says this shouldn’t be taken very seriously. The distancing, Washing hands all the protocols should be followed but they are turning this into a Sci Fi movie for Christs sake

Not sure on doctor’s note but they definitely aren’t testing you unless you have specific symptoms. What they are saying is that if you are sick or have symptoms if this was 6 months ago (before COVID-19 outbreak) would you go to the doctor for these symptoms? If not don’t bother. People are running for tests for a cough or slight fever. They aren’t wasting tests, don’t be disappointed if you wait hours and don’t get one.

I don’t get this. Why can’t people just go to their Dr’s or urgent care to get tested.. They need a dr prescribed for it. SO just do it in the dam office.. This is a hazard.. A traffic Hazard.. Accidents will happen and fights cause they are turning people away. This is insane!!!! Just stay in your freaking homes and wait it out. It’s a VIRUS! No meds will work on it.. STAY THE F HOME! If you can’t breath that’s a different story go to the hospital. This is just to keep track on how many people are getting tested and cause more havoc throughout the U.S. STOP already… Your wasting money for supplies on testing..

Cathy Amoia Scuderi the reason they need the drive up testing is to isolate each possible person who is sick..if you go to your doctors office, that 1 person has the chance of infecting the others in the office, the nurses, and the doctor, so you are putting potentially 10 to 15 people at Risk, where if you drive to a drive up testing area, the only ok ones at risk, are you, and the person testing you…
THATS why they dont want everyone to go to there doctors….Keep the number of people at risk down!!
