When police arrived, they advised the staff they cannot host a gathering of more than 50 people.

Gov. Phil Murphy has limited public gatherings in New Jersey to fewer than 50 people.

Lakewood police say they are doing their part to enforce the governor’s precautions, and remind people to practice social distancing.

Police could not confirm the exact number in attendance, but say it was much greater than 50.
