In an effort to stop infected food items from getting back into circulation and to prevent hoarders from returning all the excess inventory- Shop Rite has modified their return policy. Effective immediately all purchases are final sale chain-wide.
This is an excellent decision by corporate, and we hope other retailers follow suit. Hopefully this will stop people from overbuying knowing they’ll be stuck with their hoards of toilet paper and wipes. Plus you don’t know what condition people’s houses are in when the merchandise gets reintroduced to the store.
Good! Every single store entertaining these selfish over buying hoarding douchebags shouldn’t take back a single thing.
Dylan Frampton these hoarders sure donate extra to local food pantry
Good for you!
Tom Christian
Good news! Hope Costco follows suit
Good!
Ashley Odell

Ewelina Klusek At least it will not go bad. ????
They’ll be set for 6 mos at least smh
Let’s hope there’s a surplus of tp after all this and it goes on sale real cheap. For those of us that didn’t hoard
Good! Screw chronic returners LOL
I was hoping that would happen just made my day ????
They should do this all the time!!!
That’s awesome!!!! I was hoping for this….greedy bastards
Now everyone can sit home surrounded by their toilet paper.

Good. Let those idiot chew over the fact they have 300 rolls of toilet paper, 60 lbs of chicken and 45 bottles of cleaner
Costco should do the same
Linda Desesa-Cioppa !!!! They did it!!!
Michele Mino
Matthew Gorto
Good! Now people are doing this on FB marketplace. Makes me so angry!
I was thinking about this the other day. Good call!
And the 50 gallons of milk
Smart!
Most stores should initiate this. This is a good move
Excellent I’m so glad let the idiots keep all their unnecessary supplies
Good!! It took me two days and 7 stores to find 3 rolls of TP it’s insane I wanna knock the shit out of the asshole hoarders wtf are these lunatics doing with all the TP
Jennifer Polito Kelly they are all full of shit and need it.
Great move shop rite
Best idea I have heard
Good!!! To all the assholes that felt the need to buy so much food to stock a bomb shelter, hope all that food goes bad before you can use it!!
Great idea!
Yes!!! Angelina Lorenzo Theresa Brindisi Alexis Nicole Paul Byrne
Good! The should back track it to last week!
They will just sell their surplus online, where it’s not regulated. Selfish f___s!!!
Great idea!
Couponers have been doing it for a long time now. but a lot of these people went into the stores bought everything up recently and now they’re selling it it’s just ridiculous!
I was there this morning getting stuff for my 91 year old mother a man was By where they sell the loose donuts and rolls with his hands on the rolls with no tissue to get the roll out disgusting
Lori Glasman Armuth new policy. No more loose rolls bagels or donuts. All to be sold from back of dept. This will help with cleanliness and tte spread of germs.
Jason Ackerman I will see tomorrow for sure
Lori Glasman Armuth store shouldn’t be putting out loose donuts. I’m not even buying fruits and veggies unless they’re frozen other than bananas. Everyone touches it.
Finally. I was just saying this last week. Every Store needs to this, Costco. Target. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart.
Great
Jennifer Lee
Finally. I was just saying this last week. Every Store needs to this, Costco. Target. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart.
Smart idea! That should teach people a lesson about humanity.
Good! I’m so happy to hear this. Now all the hoarders can watch their food rot lol
Good job!! Now let’s keep them from being able to sell it online so that they are stuck with it for being such hoarders!!!
Good
I think every store should adopt this policy.
Good call!!!!
Steven Porter
Jen Swak interesting. I agree
So I can’t get raincheck on ground beef that other people hoarded or the olive oil. Thanks ShopRite
It does not say you can’t get a rain check.
Bee Ernst I ll double check with son who works for ShopRite it did state raincheck policy’s
Yes no rainchecks,returns or refunds????
Sonia Pascadlo Copper thought so
Teresa Jasinski I saw the sign saying “no rain checks”
Buying extremely cheap w coupons has been happening FOREVERRRRRR, as is reselling it.
No one complained.
The original post was about returns.
What does one have to do with the other?
Stop trying to villainize everyone by twisting the current hot spot into a complainer’s platform. Jeez….
Said this from
Day 1
Thank You Shop Rite ???????????????? Hope Costco and other stores follow
NO RETURN POLICY
Karma is a bitch
Good
If people are returning food items that can be infected I don’t think I want to shop there anymore anytime virus or not
Smart move…hope other stores do the same
BRILLIANT!
I agree It’s about time they use their brains and shoprite should only be letting in maybe up to 50 people at a time so the workers don’t get in ve
Good call
I hope costco and Walmart can do the same stuff , since I’ve been see at costco a guy returning baby carrots ???? at Walmart a lady returning a open package of underwear ????
Awesome
People should buy just what they need instead of this panic buying.
Good
Yes!
Good. That is a great idea ????
Should be all stores
Good for them! buy what you need!!
Good!
Smart move
Everyone is out for themselves let’s not try to fool each other, your just angry that people reacted to a situation that they never experienced in their lifetime and were truly scared as to what is going to happen, so your a douche bag for preparing for the worst, give me a break, you’ll watched what happened in China and Italy, maybe you should have prepared earlier instead of ignoring the obvious
I’m assuming you are one of the people with 100 rolls of tp and Lysol wipes and now your just pissed cuz that shit gonna go on sale soon and you payed full price.
Paula Schultz Robertson not 100 just 50 rolls
Yeah what I thought. Some people didn’t react they over reacted. Enjoy your tp.
I will
Better find something to do with all that tp. But yet you’re defending the asses that hoarded tp and your post this. Point made.
Noreen Caitrin did you think maybe some people had to wait till they got paid to buy products or the seniors had to wait for social security checks to buy what they needed. No one cared about those people.
Michele Libretto Deo you don’t know my situation or my finances as all you people judge those who prepared for this epidemic, your opinion means nothing remember that it’s just facebook
Noreen Caitrin I wasn’t saying you ! I was referring to people whose carts had so many products that it will take 6 months to go thru. I’m happy they can not return them… that’s all. Now they have it. They can keep it. That’s all. I’m not talking about people who prepared for two weeks. And most people are not talking about preparing. They are talking about 6 mos worth of stuff
Michele Libretto Deo we need to stop judging others
Noreen Caitrin glad I finally found one of the morons that bing and panic shopped so no one else could get needed supplies. Just think above yourself noreen
Shawna L Fitzpatrick-Mullen go fuck yourself
all of you judge mental idiots, your hysterical
hahahahaha hahahahaha
Noreen Caitrin ????your an idiot lol
Good!!????
Thank you
They should allow returns anyway
Scott A Barnes if you don’t need it don’t buy it. They shouldn’t allow returns for fear of it being contaminated. If someone has this virus and returns the 50 packages of toilet paper they didn’t need they have a potential to infect a bunch of unsuspecting people.
Michael Downing exactly
Sorry but every Supermarket should have limits on all items .Its absolutely ridiculous that I couldn’t even buy one package of chop meat the other day. Forget Toilet paper!
Laura Stassi-Castillo they say they do but don’t enforce it… Customers keep coming back in a few times a day
Good!!!
Very smart indeed!!
That’s a great idea!!!????
Wonderful news.
And that’s good we don’t have a food shortage we don’t have a toilet paper or paper towel or sanitizer and so on shortage so if you buy all the stuff you are stuck with it and that’s the way It should be
Joseph Clappsy Sr. ????????
Aisha Mortagy
You’re stuck with all your toilet paper idiots.
Good. Hope all the idiots with 500 rolls of TP choke on them. Idiots
What are you doing for seniors besides safe guarding your profit Look at Stop and Shop helping seniors Shame on Shoprite
Patricia Kelleher Davis Pretty sure that seniors are not the are not the hoarders..
Michael Childs no they are not You didnt understand me Shoprite cares about money not seniors Target stop and shop giving seniors time to shop
NO RETURNS-NO REFUNDS! All stores should do this. You needed it “so bad”, you keep it. Buyers remorse, bitch.
Stop letting the hoarders in.. confiscate their price club cards
Good!!
I have been hoping for this since the greedy started hoarding! I hope all the stores follow this practice ????
They’ll try to sell their shit on the Marketplace
Good and fair policy
Perfect!! Good move
Carrie Voit Eldridge
Great!
Good!!
I guess I’m naive , but people return food?????
Happy they are taking a stand on this issue, because what are all these hoarders going to do soon with all that TP? I guess save it for Halloween????
Joann Landi yup… say it was bad…. they are buying up deli meats…. I ask myself Where are people coming up with All This Money to Buy ALL This Stuff????
Great response to the selfish hoarders who had no consideration for others.
Perfect move!
I dare someone to complain about this. Everything bought during this outbreak should be final sale, unless defective of course.
Good !!!
Goooooood!
I love this!!!
Great idea!
Awesome
Great Decision
Great idea how about also having senior hours
Good move!!! Walmart should do the same!!
Greatest thing I’ve heard today.. Good business move..
This is an excellent move on their part. It makes sense.
To anyone thinking about complaining about this policy, try to keep in mind, this is an extreme situation that extends beyond just Shop Rite or any individual chain of stores. EVERYTHING around the country is available in limited supply not only to the people shopping but the even to the stores themselves and probably even the distributors that provide to the stores.
If you can’t comprehend how this kind of frenzy can have a direct impact on overall supply and feel entitled enough to be pissed off about it, you don’t deserve to eat anyway.
Smart moves
I always shop at Shoprite & always will. Congratulations on taking this stand!
More stores should implement this..Target, BJs, Costco etc
Love this! It needs to be done here in Florida.
Smart move
Good idea….for everyones safety.
That my friend is an excellent policy all stores should do that
Costco should also follow suit
Very smart idea because when this is all over that is what going to happen
I have a bag of chicken nugget that is ripped. I don’t want to keep it. Cannot believe it is sanitary or safe to eat.
