Starting Monday, Comcast is putting in place two substantial program enhancements to help low-income families
Here is the breakdown on the packages:
- Low-income families in the Comcast service area can sign up for 60 days of complimentary Internet Essentials service, which is normally available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month.
- Also, Comcast is increasing Internet speeds for the Internet Essentials service from 15/2 Mbps to 25/3 Mbps for all new and existing customers, which will be the speed of the service going forward.
- To sign up, applicants can simply visit www.internetessentials.com. There are also two dedicated phone numbers 1-855-846-8376 for English and 1-855-765-6995 for Spanish.
They should be charging everyone that rate on a daily..what we pay is ridiculous..

i can see where existing customers would be annoyed bc this is a marketing gimmick of sorts, and yes there are system scammers, but there are true working low income families doing the minimum wage jobs the complainers don’t want to or have to do. like stock the TP at the costco that they have memberships to, and can afford to buy in bulk based on the possibility of people being stuck home for weeks. i don’t begrudge these types of hard workers some help

We dumped Comcast a year ago and went iptv. Best thing we ever did. Cable TV is a huge rip off.

The negativity went from 0 to 60 in no time flat. No one is or has been quarantined for 14 days, no one is not getting paid as of yet, when and if you are, you know you’ll qualify. If you can’t put food on your table without a “pandemic” you qualify. If you’re getting your roots and your nail fills every other week, you shouldn’t qualify. If you’re buying your 6 packs and cigarettes, you shouldn’t qualify. Can’t anyone just be thankful that a branch is being offered to those actually in need? Stop with the “what about me” BS. Be thankful that you don’t need to qualify.
