Looking for toilet paper, soap, or other essential items locally in stores? Better try again before you head out. We are getting widespread reports of stores in Ocean County and surrounding areas being sold out of the most basic of products. People are panicking and buying everything they can find. The story is the same at Walmart, BJ’s, Costco, Target, and anywhere else that normally carries routine items. Customers are facing long lines and limits on the most popular products at registers.

Hand Sanitizer and Face Masks have been sold out for weeks now, with shipments trickling into stores at random. Paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and water are surfacing in small quantities at stores, but they’re being rationed like during a war. The burning question we all want to know is- what are people doing with massive stockpiles of toilet paper?

All of this mad rush is bringing routine household goods to the resale market. Reports on Ebay and other online websites show people charging excessive prices for these items- especially hand sanitizer.

We here at OCSN are doing our best to continue the news for our fans. To take extra precautions, our staff washes our hands before we type a story- so rest assured.

Remember friends- Try not to panic or cause a panic. Stay calm and practice basic hygiene. Watch for official reports of Coronavirus from the CDC and other trusted news outlets. Send us your pictures of sold-out shelves and long store lines. We will share them on the website to keep everyone updated.
