It’s with a heavy heart that we have to officially announce that we had our End of Watch for the wonderful community of Whiting on 29 February. For 46 years, we have answered the calls ranging from ‘I need help into the house’ to the very, very serious strokes, heart attacks, with everything in between. We have laughed with you, cried with you, and held your hand when you needed someone.
We turn over our EMS to the very capable Manchester Twp EMS now. We have full faith in their ability to help you in your darkest times.
Now, we look to the future with plans of community education for providers and the public. We are never far.
Thank you for letting us serve you, the community.
Sincerely,
Squad 43.

I think they r going to payed first aid is this right and if so they don’t have the volunteers
Dot Winskey Leming Douglas Manchester Police Department EMS will be handling the whiting calls.
Dot Winskey Leming Douglas Manchester volunteer went out too.
Not right
Where all the money go they had? Thought whiting first aid was staying, was just the east side of town
Thank you for your years of service to the community
Thank you!
Sad
As a former EMT, and a captain from one of the rescue squads in central Jersey. It is sad to see a squad close it’s doors, to either no crews, or budgets. With the economy as bad as it is now, no one can afford to volunteer their time like they did when I rode years ago. And even then it was getting hard for me back then as a single mom, but the squad members became our family. My children had several sets of grandparents, aunts, an uncles from the life time members. They were some of the best times ever, really miss it..Blessings to you all Squad 43????❤️
The new generation is NOT volunteering. This is affecting EMS , Fire Companies and many other volunteer organizations across the country. Sad to see it’s become “me,me,me”
Paul Casalese I know that Point Pleasant Boro has several young EMT and fire volunteers. It’s not all “me-me-me”. There are many dedicated young volunteers doing good work.
THANK YOU ALL AND YOUR FAMILIES FOR YOUR SERVICE!
