A two-month cooperative multi-agency investigation into illegal drug activity in the southern Ocean County area revealed that a Little Egg Harbor Township residence was being used to store and distribute quantities of Methamphetamine and Heroin.

Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, and Little Egg Harbor Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit on Friday, February 21, 2020, executed a no-knock search warrant on the subject residence.  As a result, Detectives seized approximately eighteen grams of Methamphetamine and two grams of Heroin.  The following individuals were arrested at the residence:

John Sharpe, 35, of Little Egg Harbor, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine in an Amount Greater than One-Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(9)a; Possession of Methamphetamine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Heroin in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2.  Sharpe was initially lodged in the Ocean County Jail and then released per New Jersey Bail Reform.

Tara Giberson, 34, also of Little Egg Harbor, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine in an Amount Greater than One-Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(9)a; Possession of Methamphetamine in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); Possession of Heroin in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1); and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:36-2.  Giberson is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail on an unrelated pending matter.
