BTPD Street Crimes Unit arrests (8) subjects for CDS in four separate incidents:

(1) Arrestees: Nicholas Toto 28 y/o Pleasantville, Piotr Korytkowski 37 y/o Staten Island, N.Y.

02/13/2020 at 1820 hours, detectives from the Brick Police Street Crimes Unit observed an occupied suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of 945 Cedarbridge Ave (Leonard Perry Motors). Detectives approached the vehicle and made contact with the two occupants, Nicholas Toto and Piotr Korytkowski. The vehicle was found to be unregistered with a fictitious license plate. An odor of raw marijuana was detected and a search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search an amount of marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and packaging materials were located.

Toto was charged with Possession of marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.
He was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail.

Korytkowski was charged with Possession of CDS (heroin), Possession of CDS (cocaine), Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Possession of hypodermic syringe and Possession of CDS with intent to distribute. He was processed and released on a summons.

(2) Arrestees: Wilfredo Acevedo 39 y/o Tuckerton
Jeffrey Hernandez 41y/o Brick

On 02/27/2020 detectives from the BTPD Street Crimes Unit observed a drug transaction inside a vehicle in the parking lot of 7-11 (856 Route 70). As the detectives approached the vehicle which was being operated by Jeffrey Hernandez of Brick, Wilfredo Acevedo of Tuckerton was attempting to exit the vehicle. The officers identified themselves at which time Hernandez quickly backed his vehicle to flee nearly striking one of the detectives with the vehicle. Hernandez was apprehended a short distance away in the parking lot of Joe Canals where he was taken into custody. A search of his vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana and packaging materials. Acevedo attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by detectives in the parking lot. Acevedo was placed into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Both subjects were transported to Ocean County Jail. Ptl. Scott Smith and Brick Police K-9 Echo assisted with a sniff of the vehicle.

Acevedo was charged with Possession of marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and Resisting by Flight. He was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail.

Hernandez was charged with Possession of marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Distribution of CDS, Resisting by Flight and Obstruction. He was also processed and transported to the Ocean County Jail.

(3) Arrestees: Forlang Spencer, (49 y/o), Newark
Thomas Woltmann, (56 y/o), Lake Hiawatha
Roberto Ritorto, (35 y/o), Old Bridge

On 3/6/20 at approximately 1900 hours, members of the Brick Township Police Street Crimes Unit (SCU) were in the area of the Brick Motor Inn, 912 Route 70. There, they observed a vehicle occupied by a male driver (later identified as Forlang Spencer) from Newark and a male passenger (later identified as Roberto Ritorto) from Old Bridge sitting inside the parked vehicle. The passenger Roberto Ritorto exited the vehicle and approached a third male subject (later identified as Thomas Woltmann).

Roberto Ritorto subsequently re-entered the vehicle and then it left at a high rate of speed. While doing so the occupants began to throw debris from the vehicle. A motor vehicle stop was conducted for the violations. Patrolman Scott Smith with his K9 partner Echo, arrived on scene to assist. Based on a positive indication from K9 Echo the vehicle and its occupants were searched which led to the seizure of numerous cell phones and a quantity of cocaine and heroin, both of which were packaged for sale.

A short time later, detectives made contact with the third individual Thomas Woltmann who was found to be in possession of cocaine, heroin and CDS paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation $805 in US Currency, the vehicle, and quantities of Cocaine, Heroin and Drug Paraphernalia were seized.

Forlang Spencer was charged with the following:
Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance – (3 Counts)
Manufacturing – Distributing Heroin / Cocaine
Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle
Careless Driving
Throwing Debris from a Motor Vehicle
He was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail

Thomas Woltmann was charged with the following:
Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Being Under the influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
Woltmann was released on a summons.

Roberto Ritorto was charged with the following:
Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Manufacturing Distributing Heroin / Cocaine
Ritorto was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail.

(4) Arrestee: Matthew Diaz Jr. 29 y/o of Brick
On 03/07/20, detectives from the Brick Police Street Crimes Unit were in the area of the Brick Motor Inn when they observed a suspicious motor vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently stopped at which time they detected an odor of marijuana and conducted a search. The rear passenger, Matthew Diaz of Brick was arrested for Possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. Diaz was found to have smoked crack cocaine at the Brick Motor Inn prior to the motor vehicle stop and was also charged with being under the influence of CDS. Diaz was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail. K9 Echo assisted with the investigation.
