The Ocean County Library, Washington Street Branch, will be closed today. Earlier this afternoon there was an odor in the basement that turned out to be a battery malfunction issue. The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure and will be closed for the remainder of the day. Berkeley Hazmat arrived to ventilate the building.
