Beth Lane my friends and I had it happen back some 16 years ago. They were watching us go to the empty lot across from bamboo. We walked to a motel. Left the car and called a taxi. Came back in the morning and got the car. It was fine.

Adam Michael it’s not ok cool. No one knows the circumstance. That last kid was hit at 3 am. The road is desolate at that time. He had every right time to look left and right. No reason for him to pass away. Simply wasn’t paying attention.
Adam Michael he also crossed at a time he shouldn’t as a kid. I’m not getting into this. 17 year old kids are different then adults. As are different than under the influence adults.

Exactly kar . If the scene is not safe then the men with the guns going first to control it we’re not supposed to put ourselves in a dangerous situation although we often do. I think this woman is under the impression that police are the initial response and where the backup which is not the case at all hence me saying it was an ignorant comment. Because there was no knowledge behind it. I have responded too many 9-1-1 calls that the police haven’t gotten to yet. But again I will reiterate if it is a 911 or a medical emergency EMTs are dispatched by County along with police not after police and not by police

Honestly they need to crack down on the jaywalking across 37. (not sure thats the case here) These fools just run across and hardly look for oncoming traffic and just expect then to see them and stop for them. Quite a few people have been killed recently.

It’s a law for a reason it might seem like nothing but with as many people that have been getting hit by cars lately I feel like it needs to be taken more seriously . there’s a reason why there are pedestrian walkways and there is a reason why so many people are getting hit by cars now. There’s much more road traffic than there was 10 years ago and if people are afraid of getting a ticket for jaywalking then maybe they will cross in the right paths and reduce the risk of getting hit by a car
