WOWO, Can we call then to walk our dogs too? Maybe think about getting a ramp?
Uncalled for comment since you don’t know the situation
Maybe the dog is having amedical issue & needs to get to the vet – and they don’t have time to order a ramp? I would look for a neighbor, but in an emergency situation, I may call the non-emergency line and ask if they could possibly help.
Tim Reid you’re a real asshole maybe it’s someone elderly with a sickly dog show some compassion asshole the dog might be getting put down I’d love to slap you the fuck up for that comment me Reid
I hope someone puts you down when you need help you piece of shit Tim Reid
Tim Reid someone needs smack you up
Mike Volker relax. Wtf u getting all worked up for some troll?
Brendan Parisi just the fact I watch that guy with his smart mouth on a decent amount of posts keyboard warriors don’t know the struggles til they need help lmao
Tim Reid heartless idiot
Tim Reid your an idiot, last time I checked tax dollars paid police salaries and police are there to help people no matter what they need. There are a lot of people with bigger dogs, maybe the person was elderly, maybe it was someone with a broken arm point is YOU don’t know the situation so why make a snide comment. Ever hear the saying you get more with sugar than vinegar? STOP BEING VINEGAR!
There’s more to the police than enforcing the law and making arrests, they still help the citizens when call upon. You’re an embarrassment to your profile pic btw
Tim Reid you’re a dumbass
Tim Reid you’re an ass.
No one likes you Tim Reid.
Tim Reid are you sorry yet lol
Tim Reid yea really I just lost my golden retriever he was 80 lbs it took 5 of us and a blanket to lift him the one day he collapsed in my yard shit like that happens
Kat Claws Rinaldi Same thing happened to our goldie. He collapsed, and had to be rolled over onto blanket, so they could get him in the back of our van, he was pushing 80 if not more. Sadly, he had to be put down.
Kat Claws Rinaldi I am so sorry for your loss
Sometimes this is what policing is all about. It’s not about arresting criminals sometimes. What is the difference between helping someone in need lift their dog in the car and stopping to play basketball with kids.
We had called for help with our 90lb husky that broke his shoulder (bone cancer)in the middle of the night. My dad & I tried to lift him, but needed help to get him up in the truck to go to the emergency vet to have help crossing over.
Dana Michelle ugh I hate to have you relive that in your head- but you’re right!! Sometimes when moments count you need help. Everyone judging this caller is garbage.
Heather Weiss-Dunne yes it was horrible. Josh was playing earlier that night bringing his ball to play. Then 2am he went out to pee & took a bad step & his shoulder broke. We tried our best to get him lifted comfortably as possible but needed help. The police were great in helping us get him on a board & into the car & escorted us to the er vet to help
Dana Michelle I am so sorry. I know how terribly you’ve missed him all these years. ❤️???? I’m so glad the police were able to help you.
Soo sorry for your family’s loss. Police officers do alot & Thank goodness for them.
Dana Michelle omg so sorry you went thru that, but I bet those officers were glad to be of service.
Dana Michelle I’m so very sorry for your loss ????
Police officers are PUBLIC SERVANTS. Guess who pays their salaries??? Us, the tax payers. So if someone calls them for help, it is their job to help.
They’re no ones servants and it’s not their responsibility. However, most have no issue helping community members. People with your attitude are ridiculous. You pay the Governor too, try calling him for help. smh
Maryellen Acocella you’re ridiculous. They are public servants. That is the job they took, to protect and serve. Get off your high horse.
Your not very bright, 911 isnt for bringing a dog out, its not an emergency, if you got shot and this officer was trying to be a servant by helping a dog outside, while you bleed to death , get the point?
Joseph Todaro did it say he called 911? Because there’s only one police officer in New Jersey… you all can insult me, but I’m actually right. So ????????have a glorious day! I don’t call the cops for any reason. I help myself in this life, even when it means lifting any of my 100lb plus dogs. Facts are facts. Delusions are delusions.
Maryellen Acocella lmao.. seriously, they ARE CALLED public servants
Joseph Todaro by the way, it’s you’re not very bright, not your, so apparently, I’m just a bit brighter than you ????
I know the feeling – having a big dog who doesn’t want to do something but I had never called the cops for that
Prayers for the dog obviously medical emergency and help needed lifting the dog. Thank you to officers
Barnegat PD always goes out of their way to help residents. Chief Germain is a awesome guy!
Ocean Twp police helped me carry my black lab 3 weeks ago. She had a seizure and I wasn’t strong enough to carry her down the stairs. Bless those officers.
Police are about Community Service which this obviously falls under…Not every call is a 911 related call. Great Job boys!
Yes Barnegat does go above and beyond kudos to officer Diblasi big help this weekend❤❤❤
Toms River Police went out of their way to help us get our Golden into the car so we could transport to vet. We live In 2nd Floor no way my husband and I could lift a 110 lb Golden.
I have a Newfie and dreading that day if I would ever need help with an emergency ????
Please allow me to share my story about community policing. A few months ago I was awaken in the middle of the night to the sound of bang against my front door. I looked down onto my porch from my upstairs bedroom window and I saw a police officer and two civilians standing at the end of my driveway. The officer was directing his flashlight onto the front of my property, my front door, and onto my driveway. To make a long story short, the two civilians had just struck a deer in front of my house and the deer severely injured, manage to find his way orto my doorstep, literally lying on my doormat. I can’t express how much I appreciated that police officers help in handling a very sad situation regarding this poor deer. The officer informed me that animal control would not remove the deer because it was still alive at that point. He and I agonized over this situation that this poor deer was in, and he had no choice but to tell me he would leave and come back in a couple hours and if the deer was in fact by then dead, he would call animal control and they would remove it. This is exactly what happened because when I woke up for work the next morning the deer was gone. If we are only to count on police officers to help us when we have what most people consider to be a “real” or “valid” emergency, then I would awoken in the morning to a dead deer on my doorstep. I emailed my local police department the next day, and commended the officer by his name, for a job well done. ????????❤️
Pamela Leigh Wesnitzer nice story. Shame the poor deer had to suffer for hours, though.
Patricia Abate I know, I felt so sorry for the poor deer, but due to their rules, no one would touch the deer while still injured. Btw, the people who hit the deer, left the scene after the officer came to my door. ????
This is good community policing! Police officers are public servants, that means they serve the public. Part of that job is ensuring that police officers and the community have a good and trusting relationship and this is how you do that. Too often we assume cops are just there to stop bad guys and that’s not true. They’re there to help you in your moments of need and it’s good for the community and police to remember that. Kudos to the officer!
I got a call from the PD years ago. My dog hopped into the backseat of someone’s car. He wouldn’t get out. Just sat there smiling and panting. I told them”if you pull your car out of the driveway and pull back in, he will think he went for a ride and get out” they were afraid of him, so the officer got in and did it. My dog hopped out happy he got to go for a ride.
Deanna Veach Nourie I love this story thanks for sharing! ????
Deanna Veach Nourie haha! Sometimes it’s just the simple things ????

My dog suffered a medical emergency last year and I have 2 joint replacements and I am unable to lift him and he’s only 45 lbs. You just never know what life brings. I hope this person got the help they needed for their dog and that it will be okay.
I hope they got help.
Glad they went to help…pets are family…onviousely there was an issue with this baby and resident needed help to get it into car..
Waste of resources
